Bringing Luxor to Life - Sherry reconstructs history. Visiting all the ancient sites, she interpreted the hieroglyphic inscriptions scene by scene, reading cartouches, and explaining the symbolism, woven into the walls. Suddenly, the imagery wasn’t abstract carvings. Clear, engaging, articulate and genuinely passionate. Exploring with her was both fun and intellectually satisfying. In fact, two people from another group drifted over to listen to her commentary and asked for her contact information because they were disappointed with their own guides. That tells you everything. If you want Luxor to come alive, Sherry is the guide who can make that happen. Highly recommended.

Unforgettable family adventure - We had the absolute pleasure of being guided by Sherry during our trip to Luxor in October 2025, and from the very moment she greeted us at the airport, her warm and welcoming personality set the tone for what became a truly memorable experience. Travelling with two teenagers — one of whom has a disability and can tire easily with too much walking — can require flexibility and understanding. Sherry handled this effortlessly. With temperatures exceeding 35°C, she thoughtfully adapted our itinerary rather than rigidly following the original plan. Instead of visiting both Karnak and Luxor Temples during the heat of the day, we explored Karnak in the morning and then reconvened in the early evening for a magical sail along the Nile in a traditional feluca. Complete with tea, bongo drums, and even some dancing, it was an unforgettable experience for all of us. Later that evening, we visited Luxor Temple beautifully illuminated at night — a breathtaking and entirely different perspective from a daytime visit. It was a highlight of the trip. As a mother herself, Sherry was fantastic with our teenagers — engaging, patient, and intuitive. Her depth of knowledge about Egypt’s history and culture was exceptional, and she shared it in a way that was both informative and captivating. The following day, Sherry and our wonderful driver collected us from our hotel and took us to the Valley of the Kings — and “wow” truly is the only word. Nothing prepares you for the extraordinary beauty of the tombs. We then visited Hatshepsut Temple before enjoying a delicious lunch at a restaurant beside Howard Carter’s house. Everywhere we went, we were met with warmth and hospitality. We saw so many incredible places during our time in Luxor, but what made this trip truly special was Sherry herself. She is knowledgeable, kind, thoughtful, and an absolute pleasure to spend time with. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had her as our guide and would recommend her without hesitation.

Karnak temple and Luxor temple - Had a lovely day with the amazing guide called Sheree. She picked us up from our tui cruise ship. She communicated with us about pick up times etc via WhatsApp. She explained everything really well answered all our questions,she was very knowledgeable. She took some amazing photos for us.A clear good paced delivery of information . One of our party using hearing aids and she heard every word Sheree spoke. She took us through the shops, which we would not have done otherwise, Overall a fantastic day and would highly recommend Sheree as a guide.

Luxor temple - We did a tour to Luxor temple with our guide, arranged by Ali of Wonders of Egypt. It is wonderful not to follow a group but to walk through the temple with your own guide. Just not looking at the standard things but the specials. We have our trip arranged by Wonders of Egypt and it is super every time.

Great adventures. - As a solo traveler I would highly recommend doing this Luxor trip. Even with arriving late due to my delayed flight. I still got to see a lot. The Luxor temple is beauty, I recommend going late afternoon to see it after the sun set. The amount of knowledge Ms. Sherry provided was great. Letting me know what everything meant and why some items are not as clear. Take the hot air balloon ride, yes it's super early but worth it. The valley of the kings was good. Take away make sure you have comfy shoes and light clothes. Bring extra chargers for your phone. Some of the locations can get crowded.

Excellent guides make a trip of a lifetime! - My family had even a better time than we had hoped for touring with Wonders of Egypt tours! Our guides Dr. Azab, Ms Shery, and Mr Ali we all extremely knowledgable and went out of their way to make sure our experience was top notch. Even when we had trouble with a third party, our guide took it upon himself to resolve our issue even after the day was done. I would happily use this company again and plan to refer them to my friends and family.
