Karnak Open Air Museum - Karnak Temple is the largest place of worship ever constructed. Its ancient name, Ipet-Isut, translates to ‘the most sacred place.’ This temple complex was developed over 2,000 years by successive generations of pharaohs. The grand “Hypostyle Hall” is a remarkable forest of towering pillars.
Colossi of Memnon - This is a perfect spot for capturing some memorable photos.
Valley of the Kings - The Valley of the Kings is where magnificent tombs were unearthed. These tombs were intricately carved deep into the desert rock, lavishly decorated, and filled with treasures for the pharaohs’ afterlife.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - The tour also includes a visit to the magnificent Hatshepsut Temple. This impressive temple, dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut, the only female pharaoh of Ancient Egypt, emerges from the desert plain in a series of terraces and mirages.
Temple of Kom Ombo, Edfu, Aswan.
Temple of Kom Ombo - This temple is unique with its two entrances. Each entrance is dedicated to the god of fertility and creator of the world, Sobek, and the falcon-headed god Haroeris, also known as the ancient Horus.
Temple of Horus - The journey continues to Edfu to explore the majestic Temple of Horus, considered by many as the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to Egyptian mythology, it is the site where the falcon-headed god Horus avenged his father Osiris’s murder by defeating Seth.
Aswan - After visiting the Temple of Edfu, the tour proceeds to Aswan, where lunch will be enjoyed at a local restaurant. Guests will check in at a 4-star hotel in Aswan, have dinner, and then enjoy some leisure time.
High Dam of Aswan, Kalabsha Temple, Unfinished Obelisk, Philae Temple.
Aswan High Dam - The High Dam of Aswan is an engineering marvel, constructed in 1960.
New Kalabsha - From the top of the High Dam, a stunning panorama unfolds across Lake Nasser to Kalabsha Temple in the south and a massive power station to the north.
Unfinished Obelisk - The tour continues to the Unfinished Obelisk in the granite quarries of Aswan, where much of the red granite used for ancient temples and colossi originated. The Unfinished Obelisk remains where it was carved, as a crack was discovered during its extraction. A knowledgeable Egyptologist guide will explain how the 1-tonne obelisk was carved and why the crack led to its abandonment.
Temple of Philae - The final of the three renowned Aswan sites is often considered the finest. Philae Temple was meticulously relocated to its current position (approximately 500 meters from its original site) when the construction of the High Dam caused the Nile waters to rise.
