At 6:00 AM, an operator will meet and assist guests at their hotel in Luxor, facilitating a transfer to Edfu, approximately an hour’s drive south of Luxor. Upon arrival in Edfu, visitors can explore the magnificent Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus, which is widely regarded as the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to Egyptian mythology, this site is where the falcon-headed god Horus avenged his father Osiris’s murder by defeating Seth.
The tour continues with a drive of about 45 minutes to Kom Ombo. Upon arrival, guests will be transferred to the Temple of Kom Ombo, which stands on elevated ground overlooking the Nile. This temple is unique due to its dual entrances, each dedicated to a deity: “Haroeris” with a falcon head and “Sobek” with a crocodile head.
The day tour proceeds to Aswan, where guests can enjoy exploring the remarkable city. Highlights include visiting the High Dam, an engineering marvel constructed in 1960 to protect Egypt from the Nile’s annual floods.
