- Khor Virap - Today, the journey leads to the Ararat Region, located near the Turkish border, renowned for its stunning landscape dominated by the snow-capped Mount Ararat. This location offers the closest and most breathtaking view of the magnificent biblical Mount Ararat, where Noah’s Ark is said to have landed after the flood. During the summer, the Ararat Plain is famous for its sweet and unique fruits, thanks to its fertile soil and favorable climate, making it perfect for cultivating a wide range of fruits and vegetables. Commonly grown crops include grapes, apricots, peaches, apples, pears, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, and various melons. The produce from this region is often exported to other parts of Armenia and internationally, boosting the country’s economy. The visit will include the Khor Virap monastery, a site particularly cherished by Armenians.
- Garni Temple - The journey continues to the Kotayk Region to explore one of the marvels of the Hellenistic era, the fortress and temple of Garni, which stands atop a well-protected triangular promontory, built in 77 AD.
- The Monastery of Geghard - The tour proceeds to the 13th-century Geghard Monastery, the only rock-carved monastery in Armenia. Its name is derived from the relic, a fragment of the spear that pierced Christ’s side on the cross. After a day full of exploration, return to Yerevan.
- Charent’s Arch - On the way back to Yerevan, there will be a stop at an arch dedicated to the renowned Armenian poet Yeghishe Charents, who admired the beauty of Mount Ararat. The location was chosen carefully: from the arch, there is the best view of Mount Ararat.
