Participants have a buffer of 30 minutes check-in prior to official start time at Surfing Puerto Rico . We are located near the roundabout at La Pared Beach. You will meet your instructor in the sand by the Surfboards!

Beautiful intro to surfing with friendly locals - The location is gorgeous! Angel did a terrific spiel to explain everything. He and Kallie were very friendly. They have a great system to keep everyone safe. It is perfect for beginners. Would recommend!

Great experience! - Amazing surf lesson - great for first timers. I took my 9 year old daughter and the instructors were wonderful with her. We had such a good time. Highly recommend! Thank you, Callie and Angel!

Just do it! - This is a fantastic beach for beginners! Everyone in our group caught at least 1 wave. Angel was a great instructor, even those of us who had never surfed before were standing up within an hour

Great first lesson! - My partner and I had a great time during our surf lesson. The beach was quiet, with just enough surf to give you the feeling of catching a wave. The instructors were clear, concise, and very encouraging throughout the entire process. They kept it fun and light, while always looking our for our safety and providing helpful feedback. Would totally go again sometime.

Amazing surf lesson with Ramos & Claire! - I absolutely loved my surf lesson with Ramos and Claire! From the very beginning, I felt 100% supported. They are both incredibly patient, encouraging, and genuinely want you to succeed and have fun. They took the time to explain things clearly, gave personalized tips to help me improve, and constantly cheered me on in the water. Even when I wiped out or felt unsure, they stayed calm, positive, and motivating — which made a huge difference. A big bonus: they also took photos, so I have amazing memories from the experience (and proof I actually stood up on the board 😄). Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your technique, this surf lesson is absolutely worth it. Great energy, great teaching, and an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend surfing with Ramos and Claire!

10/10 Recommend! - We truly enjoyed this experience and would recommend it 100% to anyone looking for good surf lessons. The class was thorough and fun, the instructors were awesome and knowledgeable, and they create a fun and energetic environment. They even provided water and snacks for the surfers.

Very Glad I Took This Lesson! - They have it dialed. There were 11 students in our class, but they had a system in place where they were able to keep up the training at a sustainable pace where no one got exhausted, and everyone seemed to improve. I think everyone was able to get up on their board by the end of it. (Of course they were pushing us into waves in the shallows, but they got some important basic skills across clearly.)

Highly recommend for anyone new to surfing. - The beginner surf lesson in Luquillo was fantastic! The instructor was patient, clear, and encouraging—breaking down each step with confidence. The gear was clean and well-maintained, and the beach break offered gentle, manageable waves. I caught my first ride within an hour!

Disappointing - Somehow, I was charged for a surf lesson that never happened very disappointing experience. We booked a lesson and tried to adjust the time however the teacher was not available, so we paid for lessons we never received. This was a very disappointing experience.
