The view from the Bürgenstock Resort is simply magnificent and unique - The view from the Bürgenstock Resort is simply magnificent and unique Why at this point write a little review or rating for the Bürgenstock Resort, which is already familiar to almost everyone in Switzerland and perhaps beyond the Swiss borders. It's simple. Because you can also enjoy the magnificent view for 5.80 CHF if you take the cable car, better the elevator. We didn’t know that until a nice lady explained exactly that to us a few days ago in the smoking lounge of the Bürgenstock Resort. So far we haven't tried this but we'll just do this next time. Arrival by cable car: directly at the Bürgenstock approx. 6,- CHF Arrival by excursion boat from Lucerne city approx. Arrival by helicopter with airport helicopter approx. CHF 1,500.- If you drive through life at full throttle, you have seen a lot but actually could not really enjoy anything. Only a very serious motorcycle accident brought me back to real life. You don't drive a motorcycle over the highway at 300 km/h. Today I know that and have learned my lesson in this life and paid very dearly for it but I am doing well according to the circumstances. For the critics, please. I was alone and I didn't put anyone at risk.

SO FUN! - On a complete whim, we took a train from Basel to Lucerne so my mom could see the Swiss countryside she'd always wanted to see. The train lets you out right in the heart of Lucerne. We walked across the street and saw there were boats on the lake, so we asked the ticket booth worker what we could do. This was a suggestion. What fun! The ticket includes a boat trip to the dock for the Burgenstock resort. A steep Cog train takes you to the top with stunning views. The trip includes a free drink ticket for two locations. We chose The Palace Hotel outside patio overlooking Lucerne. What a completely enjoyable day doing something we hadn't planned. The Burgenstock has been visited by stars like Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Lauren. For a fun day, I highly recommend this! The boat trip was $42 Euros per person.

A visit to a posh resort and grounds by funicular! - We loved the trip on a catamaran to the resort which was a 30 minute ride from Lucerne,the scenery incredible! The funicular up to the top of the mountain was so much fun. and comfortable. Once we were up there, there wasn’t much to do after strolling the grounds and visiting the gift shop. The resort is very expensive to get something to eat or drink. The hotel itself caters to wealthy celebrities and thus the high cost. Other than that it was a treat to see and experience.

Sensational - I wouldn't take the trip by boat. Catamaran, funicular and Hammetschwandlift are altogether far too expensive. Better to drive to the Bürgenstock resort. There you hike to the Hammetschwandlift in 30 minutes. The trip up and down costs 18 francs per person. Too many earn from the other version, especially the Qataris who own the resort.

Beautiful view - way too expensive! - Fantastic view on the Bürgenstock. Unfortunately, extremely expensive. Boat from Lucerne, train return and Hametschwand lift CHF 77.- per person. Upstairs in the restaurant avocado rolls with stick chf 40.- per person. It was too expensive!

Note - this is merely ordering... - <p>Note - this is merely ordering tickets online with about a 5 service fee to Viator. Bürgenstock is pretty and maybe there is more to do and see in the summer, but definitely not spring May. The Hammetschwand Lift is a 20 minute walk/hike from the resort where you are dropped off. The funicular is steep as advertised. If you can get out to the lift, it is neat, Otherwise, it is just an OK day and purchasing through Viator doesn't do much for you. Everyone seemed confused when I showed them the voucher instead of a ticket.</p>

Not what we expected - The trip was not what we expected. The cruise was from one end of the lake to opposite end and back. We never had a ride to Mount Bürgenstock as shown in picture.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. A SCAM. - I woul:d love to upload photos - had there been any to take!!! We successfully got on the correct boat for the 'tour'. An employee came around to check our tickets. We didn't get kicked off so we must have been on the correct boat. We road for approximately 25 minutes, across the lake to a stop where there was a funicular. If there was anyone doing any announcing, we could not hear it. I asked the same young man who had checked our tickets earlier, if this is where we get off for the Mt. Burgenstock experience. He said "No, stay on the boat." Which we did. And went straight back across the water to where we got on the boat. THIS IS THE WORST VIATOR EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. THAT MUCH MONEY TO RIDE ACROSS THE WATER?? NO ONE GIVING ANY DIRECTION AND/OR INDICATION OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING OR WHAT WAS TO COME?? We were thoroughly disgusted and severely disappointed!!

Save your money - Bartender was a completely disrespectful towards Americans. He served everyone else before Americans and was the most rude person we encountered on our 20 day trip. He obviously doesn’t realize we pay his salary and if he was slightly pleasant, he would have received a tip. That one person ruined the entire boat ride to the Grand Hotel.
