This intermediate adventure begins at the historic Walls of Lucca and features a completely flat terrain, ideal for both e-bikes and trekking bikes. The path meanders through a mix of roads, cycle paths, dirt tracks, and country lanes, with only the 2 km access to San Giuliano Terme on regular roads (out of a total of 33 km). San Giuliano Terme, located about 20 km into the journey, is the sole village offering bars and shops for refreshments. The tour concludes at Piazza dei Miracoli, right in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
After exploring Piazza dei Miracoli and capturing the usual photos, returning by train is convenient, with bicycles easily loaded onto designated carriages (approximately a 25-minute journey). Those who are more experienced may opt to cycle back via a more direct route.
