Great. - Great place. I advise everyone to visit it. On the way to the elephant farm and stop for coffee from the civet. A beautiful trip can end with lunch on the Mekong River.

Keep this nature. - It was a wonderful nature, culture and guide. The clear waterfall was of course amazing. (It was cold, but I could swim for long enough. I felt a sense of ecotourism and a market economy in socialism from the market where organic vegetables from Laos and imported goods from China and Vietnam are next to each other, and the tourism industry in lowland migration by alpine peoples. I don't think I would have reached that feeling without the explanation of my guide, Mr. Duy. Next year, a large number of tourists are expected to take direct trains from China. Please protect this beautiful nature by removing sunscreen and insect repellent before entering the waterfall. It has been such a satisfying tour that we hope this tour will continue, with this same scenery in the future.

Well organised and informative - Our guide was really friendly and informative. It was so interesting to see the market in the morning, as well as the Hmong villages. Kung Si falls are absolutely stunning and we were given as much time as we needed to explore, swim and climb to the top. There are certainly cheaper ways to do this but we really valued having a comfortable minivan and as much time as we wanted in each place.

A great natural spectacle! But also a huge funfair - Getting to the waterfall is not easy, the road is currently being developed over many km. Then comes a huge parking lot where you have to switch to small parking vehicles. Then begins a strenuous ascent to the entrance to the lower area. This is well developed with jetties and paths, here too large terraces are being expanded. Then comes the unique natural event with the many cascades over which enormous masses of water fall from above. Then there is a massive steel structure over which you can climb with a lot of effort to the upper part of the waterfall. There, in the treetops, there is a large observation deck and kiosk and the starting point for a 5-fold zipline. .My suggestion is: a walk from a village to the source of the river (2 hours) then after another hour you reach the waterfall from above and then descend the stairs. But beware, this hike is not easy and a gide is recommended.

Beautiful waterfall, a must see but the tour is not great value for money and not as described. - The description of the tour is misleading. For a start then there is not an option to experience the traditional alms-giving ceremony as it happens well before the tour starts. Secondly then we finished going to the small morning marked, the villages and the waterfall at 11.30 (and then not much left to do other than the lunch). Should be sold as a half day tour and priced as such. However the waterfall is stunning and should not be missed and both driver and guide great. Also good communication with the tour company. Just tour not as described and I feel not great value for money.

It wasn't bad, just ok - The morning market visit was alright and the guide, while very friendly and nice, just took us around the market and pointed out things like "that's dill, that's local orange, that's organic produce, those are barbecue rats". The trip to the Hmong village was also average, but pretty much a setup of bags, purses and things you can buy from the local village with little kids in makeup selling them. I don't think the villagers actually live there. We skipped the 2nd village because it was going to be a whiskey distillery of sorts. The kuang si waterfalls are beautiful, but to be honest you could just go without a guide because it's pretty straightforward and well sign-posted. The bear reserve is also located within the falls. Lunch in a local restaurant outside the falls was pretty good; we ordered dishes to our liking, and drinks are separately charged. It was a decent experience, just not sure if it was worth USD170 for 2 people for a private tour. If i were to do it again I'd hire just a private driver, go to the morning market if it's of interest to you and straight to the waterfalls.

Private and privatised are two different things - Although I insisted from the beginning on a personalised customised tour, the operator seemed only concerned in delivering his standard tour but for a single customer. The “described” four was finished by 10:15AM. Operator insisted that he delivered the tour “as sold” (don’t think though that a full day ends at 10:15…) Fortunately the guide was flexible and took the initiative to extend to 2 nearby places to fill the gap. Still a long way to go to understand the difference between private and privatised Got robbed of 200USD. Had I known would have joined a tour group.
