Beautiful and delicious class - We had a great experience for cooking class. We shopped at the market and learned about the different foods you can buy in the market. Then we were transported to the most gorgeous countryside setting along a river for our cooking class. Everything was well organized and we made some delicious food that we got to enjoy for lunch. Our tuk tuk took us back to the hotel rather than to the meeting place at the restaurant which was a real plus. Highly recommended!

A delicious food evening - An afternoon we never forget. Chef Sam and Nou gave us a very good introduction into the Lao kitchen and how they cook a delicious meal. With fresh vegetables, fish, meat and a lot of spicery we had a nice meal at the end.

Experience Laotian food culture - Walk around the market with the chef and ask him to explain the types and characteristics of ingredients. I don't think you can do the same thing on your own, so it was a valuable experience. The cooking class also gave me exposure to various ingredients and cooking methods, which deepened my understanding of Laotian cuisine that I casually ate in restaurants. The lunch I made was hearty and tasted delicious.

Picturesque surroundings and an amazing class - As part of the cooking class, I visited the Phosy Market. We were then taken to one of the most picturesque open kitchens I’ve been to. We made 1 dip, 1 dessert and 3 other dishes. The instructor Chef Sit made this so simple for us. It also helps that he has a great sense of humor. A lot of greens are used in the dishes for sure. The flavors were so well balanced! This activity is definitely a must do when you visit Luang Prabang

Fun Place to Cook - Delightful Lao Food - We went to the evening session, so we missed out on the shopping. However, the class was great fun. You meet at the Tamarind restaurant and a Tuktuk takes you to the outdoor kitchen about 20 minutes away. The kitchen in a verdant location makes for memorable learning. Our Chef taught us the tricks of Lao cooking and we made lot of 5 dishes - from sticky rice, chicken in lemongrass to a tasty rice pudding. The food turned out to be amazing. Cooking and sharing a class with a lot of fellow travellers from around the world further enhances the experience.

Stunning kitchen location - We toured the local food market sampling strange and exotic delights! Then a short drive to a stunning rural setting with an authentic kitchen well equipped and set up. Sit’s teaching was brilliant and he showed us how to prepare authentic Laos dishes with good humour and patience. We ate our delicious menu together for lunch. It was the best cookery course we’ve been on - a great experience. Thank you!

Good class which highlighted the local cuisine. - The program was full, with a short walk thru the wet markets and then a short drive to the cooking school. It was well set out and the class program was set out for us. The teacher and his very good assistants worked us thru the menu. The use of a Mortar and pestle was essential to combine the many fresh ingredients for each dish. Lemongrass chicken, Buffalo Larp, steamed fish in banana leaf were all excellent and the dessert of purple rice with coconut was excellent.
