Sensational! - The place is already a spectacle in the open sky. If you are going to make the tour in 1 day, you can not forget to pick up the transport. It greatly facilitates the movement and allows you to know better.

We stayed in a hostel that was a residence and visited the Inhotim museum for 2 days - We felt well received by the hostess, the Inhotim is for those who like art and especially like to walk a lot. It is more prestigious by foreigners than by Brazilians.

Don't miss Inhotim if in Belo Horizonte, MG - Inspired by an Anthony Bourdain visit and show covering Minas Gerais, Inhotim was one place I was determined to get to if ever here. This tour, which was a private tour, made it happen. After some initial miscommunication, all was set and the driver and Inhotim expert guide, Ricardo, along with an English speaking guide, Jyoti, were waiting prompty at 8:30 am to pick me up from my hotel in Savassi, BH for the 90 minute drive in a very comfortable vehicle to Brumadinho, where Inhotim is located. What a great day and truly amazing place Inhotim is - so glad to have expert guidance as we covered just a small central part of the enormous site, and walked almost 5 miles in doing so, but feel like I saw so much, both of the modern art installations and the beautiful botanical garden setting, with its five lakes. Ricardo knows so much about Inhotim and all the trees and flora and it was all passed on to me by Jyoti - learned so much and it was incredibly beautiful and relatively uncrowded on the day I was there. Was able to take a solo break for one hour and enjoy a lovely buffet lunch at Restaurante Tamboril and then resume for another couple hours of exploring. Was so much better to have guides with me, and such knowledgeable, fun and pleasant ones at that - a truly remarkable place - do not miss it if you are heading here! Muita Obrigada Ricardo and Jyoti and Espinhaco Operadora Turistica!

The guide Ricardo knows all about Inhotim! - I went on this tour to Inhotim accompanying a foreign client from Espinhaço who needed support in English. Great walk and super nice day. I highly recommend Spinhaço. Honest Service.

Integration of Art, Science, and Philosophy - Get there and you'll love it. When you get there, travel by taxi (the Belo Horizonte taxi system is the best in South America and affordable plus the driver will wait for you at the end of the day). When you get there, move around with a cart (there are stops throughout the complex). You will be moving in and out of different outdoor and indoor pavilions exhibiting contemporary artists from all over the world. it is a mix. Some you'll fall in love and some you'll most likely hate. is it nature you love? This a place where nature mingles with art and art mingles with nature. Aristotle did not separate the two. To visit the entire complex it will take three. We did the one day trick and loved. The staff speaks English and is extremely accommodating. [If you give a crack to your basic Portuguese, they will help you on your way to semi-fluency.] It is the heart of Brazil away from its beautiful shore. You'll fall in love with this peaceful Atlantic Forest Complex and if you don't return, you'll most likely recommend it to people you meet.

Connected with nature and culture - The landscapes are beautiful. Everything deserves a click. Very green, with flowers and plants that enchant. One day is not enough.
