Wonderful tour... with a few quick notes - Visiting the Oak Alley Plantation was a wonderful way to experience a piece of such important history. Whereas we enjoyed the tour very much, a few quick notes: - if you are picking up from the Roosevelt Hotel, please specify on the ticket that you will be picking up from the back entrance; we almost missed our pick up - we could have used at least 30-45 minutes extra at the Oak Alley Plantation; this may be possible if you run this tour on its own, instead of pairing it with the Swamp Tour after. The drive back was much longer because we had to drop off the guests who would take the Swamp Tour option. Last but not least, our driver Keith was a delight: funny, personable, a great ambassador for your company and for New Orleans!

Highly Recommend!!! - We had the best experience with our driver and tour guide, Lorraine. She taught us all about the history of New Orleans and surrounding parishes. She was a great driver. The state of the tour bus was impeccable. She was very courteous and made sure to check in with us to make sure we were comfortable regarding the air conditioning. I cannot give her a higher review. She was fantastic! As for the entire tour itself, we were very, very glad to have been to Oak Alley, which is beautiful. The tour guide of the house itself, Marcus, was also very well spoken, and very well informed and was a great teacher. The mint julep was very very good and the pralines are the best in the area. Even the employees and their gift shop were absolutely lovely. I highly recommend this tour.

A bit disappointed as it was all about the owners and not slavery. Wasn’t educational! - We were really looking forward to this tour and while the house itself was beautiful and impressive to see, we did leave feeling a little disappointed. The property and the home were certainly well maintained and visually interesting, but we had hoped to learn much more about the history — particularly around slavery and what actually took place in the house. Given the significance of that part of the story, we expected a deeper and more detailed discussion. Unfortunately, we left feeling like we hadn’t learned very much, which was disappointing. We truly believe there is an opportunity to share more meaningful historical context and insight, especially about the lives of those who were enslaved there. With more depth and substance, this could be a far more impactful and educational experience. It was too much about the owners of the house as opposed to the oppressed history and slavery which is what we wanted to learn.

Disastrous tour at nice place - The plantarion is worth the visit but I did not enjoy the experience overall. From the beginning we were picked up at our hotel by Alert Transportation and the driver didn't greet us, neither responded to our greeting. Then he sped all the way and we felt like sacked potatoes in the van, to just park and have us to wait 20 minutes before the transfer to another van. So what was the rush for? Then the next driver treated us like children making strong remarks to use the bathroom. We are not elementary school, but adults. Then she took about 20 minutes to charge last minute people that join the tour because she didn't know how to use the card machine and went on a endless speech how many technicalities her job requires. I don't need to know that. Then we drove one hour to the plantation with a deafening beeping sound alerting the waters levels in the van were low. Don't they check their cars prior to transporting people? Inside the Oak Plantation the tour was rushed, no time to see the pieces only to hear the guide, who made excessive warnings aa don't touch, don't seat, don't lock, etc. Then I ordered a drink at the mansion but the card machine was not working, wasted 15 minutes until she accepted my cash. In the end of the day we are on vacation to have fun. We sign for tours and expect enjoyment and basic standard of professionalism that were not met in this tour. Be aware that they only drive you to the plantation, nothing else.
