Great way to spend a lunch - This was a great time. Great food, awesome crew, saw some good whale action from a good vantage point. Couldn't have been happier. And the boat was big enough that the family felt safe and could really enjoy the ride.

Wonderful Whale Watching Adventure. - First of all, I was very happy with the boat; it was large and also on the day we went, not crowded. The service was exceptional with all the crew being very attentive and last but not least we saw whales! Wonderful experience and the photographer was an added perk.

Can't Wait to Go Again! - We booked this as our shore excursion during our Mexican Riviera cruise. I would highly recommend using SunRider for your whale watch, or any excursion. The boat is spotless and comfortable. The captain and crew's priorities are safety and enjoyment. We met at the dock gate, which is right next to the tender pier and were escorted aboard right on time. There were plenty of areas and seating and nobody felt crowed. The age of passengers were from babies to seniors (us) with everyone having a great time. We spotted adult whales, even though it was the end of the season, sea lions, rays and baby whales. Lunch and unlimited drinks were included and were delicious. Can't wait to go back to Cabo and join SunRider again.

Best whale watching experience! - We have been on several whale watching excursions and this was by far the best! We had a party of 12. Little kids and adults and the staff took care of us all. Very clean spaces, great food and drinks! We saw some whales and enjoyed our time.

Great time with the family! - We did this tour with a family group including a 5 month old and 2 year old. The boat felt super safe with the kiddos, and the staff was great offering lots of drinks, and food wasn't bad! The boat wasn't full, so we had lots of space as well :). Would definitely recommend with kids!

Nice big boat - We really enjoyed the size and condition of the SunRider boat. Easy for my elderly parents to move around and see the whales. Excellent staff and great food too!

Great day on this ship searching for whales! - We were in Cabo as part of a cruise stop, and we’re looking for something different to do outside of the ship’s excursions. We saw the reviews on this one and are so happy we did! As cruise ships have to tender at this port, the arrival of the tender is really just one pier away from where you board this ship at Pier 4 We were told to be at the meeting point at 10 AM and they promptly opened the gates at this time and the ship left at 10:30. We were out looking for whales for about 2 1/2 hours in total so we were back well before all aboard time. They are not kidding when they say free flowing drinks as they hand you a drink when you board and they are consistently asking you what else you need. They had beer, tequila, sunrise, piña colada‘s, etc. I never did see a full list because the Tecate light was perfect for us. Lunch was ready promptly at 11:30 AM and they made several announcements for folks to come and get their tacos. They had chicken and beef tacos available as well as a nacho bar with fresh tomato salsa and guacamole. It was all very tasty. The chicken was very tender as well. The staff were very engaged with the customers, carrying plates so that nothing was spilled. The staff were always available to help as well as asking if there was anything else you needed and keeping the bathrooms clean. And that’s another point, the fact that there is such a big bathroom on this ship, there were at least four stalls for men and women, and they were kept meticulously clean. Captain Pepe was very good about making sure people knew where to look for the whales in the entire group participated in identifying a whale when they saw one so we could all get great pictures and videos. There was a very diverse crowd on the ship as well with every age and ability so that was great. The music was fun and they played this until we got into the serious whale, watching part of which at that point, they turned it down so we could focus on the whales you also have an opportunity to take some great pictures of the arch and some of the beaches in the Cabo area that you can only see from the sea We booked through Viator and paid $110 each for this experience. it does look like you can pay in cash on the day of if they have room as well and that was $120 We can definitely recommend this excursion!

A fun time! - The crew was very attentive and friendly. They provided a nice meal and the drinks were flowing as much as you wanted. The crew was respectful of the whale, keeping a proper, safe distance. We saw several whales and were fortunate enough to see one breech, at close range.

DO NOT BOOK. Operator was rude and not helpful at all. Viator was even worse. - Do not book with Viator. Viator ruined my port day in Cabo for my family. I booked my first cruise, and one of our ports was Cabo. I called Viator to book a whale watching excursion for my family of four. After boarding the cruise, I realized that Cabo is a tender port, and the last tender back to the ship was scheduled to leave at 1:00 PM. However, the excursion I booked was scheduled from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Two days before our port day, I called Viator to confirm whether this timing would work. The representative put me on hold to contact the operator and then assured me that everything would be fine. They also suggested I call the local operator myself to double-check. When I did, they told me to show up and speak directly with the boat operator. I was still concerned because I did not want to risk missing the last tender back to the ship. On the day of the port, I arrived early at the meeting point and spoke with the operator in person. After explaining my situation, they told me they would not recommend going on the excursion due to the timing. I immediately called Viator to request a refund. Once again, the process was very frustrating. I spent over an hour on the phone while they said they would submit a ticket and speak with a manager. After that call, I heard nothing. I called again and had to explain the entire situation from the beginning. After another long call, the representative attempted to transfer me, but the call was disconnected. I called back and spoke with a new representative, explained everything again, and was told they had to submit another refund request. About five days later, I received an email stating that my refund was denied. I called Viator again and was told a manager would call me back. I am still waiting for that call. This experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating, during what was supposed to be a special family vacation. I relied on Viator’s guidance, and it ultimately cost us both time and money.

Read - Might be the worst excursion I’ve ever been on. This is my 4th time in Cabo and my 3rd time whale watching. To be honest the boat is more of a party boat, can’t imagine any sea animals appearing with loud music. Don’t waste your money with this, get a $5 boat at medano beach and see the whales for real. Waste time, wish I never spent money on this!
