The experience of a lifetime! - We had the experience of a lifetime on our private whale watch tour with Whale Watch Cabo. It was just us, our Captain Gilberto, and our guide, Vittoria, an Italian marine biologist who clearly had a passion, knowledge, and a deep love for whales. Just leaving the marina we saw sea lions and hundreds of pelicans. We got a glimpse of Love Beach and the famous Arch before making our way into the Sea of Cortez. We got some brief sightings early of at least one whale and decided to keep moving along. It paid off. We were rewarded with some amazing visuals of a mother and her baby. At first, they came up every few minutes and then the baby decided it was time for a show. The young whale must have breached 40 or 50 times, delighting us each and every time. It truly was a magical experience. As with everything in nature, no guarantees, but we had the experience of a lifetime and Whale Watch Cabo took wonderful care of us and clearly showed a deep respect to the whales and the sea. Highly recommend this tour!

Best choice by far! - This was our second tour with this company and I will continue to come back. We did a small group tour last year and we had 8 people this time and opted for a private tour with Oscar and Captain Gil. It was amazing once again, I cannot say enough good things about these people. Oscar got us to see a blue whale which most people never experience, was highly knowledgeable and told us about his experiences with rescue which is very admirable. They have repeat happy customers with us!

Couples Day Out - A beautiful day on the water. Dome was our guide. Hector the captain. They couldn’t have been more pleasant and informative. I have not been disappointed with Whale Watch Cabo.

Amazing and educational experience - We booked a private whale watching tour with Whale Watch Cabo as a surprise for our daughter, and it turned out to be one of the most meaningful experiences we’ve had as a family.
Our guide, Victoria, is a marine biologist, and that completely changed the tone of the trip. This wasn’t a generic “boat ride to spot whales.” She brought depth, context, and real scientific insight to everything we saw. You could feel her passion for marine life in the way she explained humpback behavior, migration patterns, and mother–calf dynamics. It felt like a floating field seminar—in the best possible way.
What stood out most was the clear commitment to the welfare of the whales. Victoria was deliberate about maintaining proper distance, cutting the engine when appropriate, and reading the whales’ behavior before repositioning the boat. She explained why each decision mattered. That level of care made it obvious this company prioritizes conservation over spectacle.
We saw multiple humpbacks, including a mother and calf, and the experience felt intimate without ever feeling intrusive. It struck the right balance between awe and respect.
As a surprise, this was extraordinary. Our daughter came away not just excited, but genuinely inspired. That’s a rare outcome for what could have been a simple tourist outing.
If you’re in Cabo and want something thoughtful, educational, and ethically run, book the private tour and ask for Victoria. It’s worth it.

A whale of an adventure.. - This was a really interesting travel to see whales. There were another two people and my partner and myself on the boat, along with Hector and Payo..
We opted to have a marine biologist on board and it was one of the better whale watching trips I've ever experienced. She was full of insight and experienced in talking about the whales from birth to adulthood. If you're going on a whale watch, I would recommend learning all you can during that period of time. Make sure you're on a boat with a marine biologist. you're on a smaller boat, you get pretty close to the whales.

Fabulous. - This was the best whale watching trip you could ever ask for. We saw so many humpback whales and our biologist Josephine was so knowledgeable we learned things we had never known about whales.
