Alongside of our professionally certified local trained guides take a speed boat ride and learn about these fascinating creatures as they majestically launch themselves out of the water creating tremendous splashes and fantastic photo opportunities. You will also be able to hear them sing their unique songs with our state-of-the-art hydrophone.

Alongside of our professionally certified local trained guides take a speed boat ride and learn about these fascinating creatures as they majestically launch themselves out of the water creating tremendous splashes and fantastic photo opportunities. You will also be able to hear them sing their unique songs with our state-of-the-art hydrophone.
Onboard our 28-foot Apex speed boat, set off on the adventure of a lifetime! Our boat is specifically designed for marine mammal viewing, riding on top of the water instead of pounding through it. Making for a more peaceful and safe interaction with the animals.
Afterwards, head to a snorkeling location away from the crowds and enjoy the abundance of marine life and blue waters the Sea of Cortez has to offer. For all of our tours we want you to get the most out of your experience and enjoy it so leave all the picture taking to us. We will take all the photos and videos and give them to you free of charge so you can take your memories home.

The meeting point is located along side the Marina in the API building. The office is number B-20 and has a brown sign above the window. If you locate the circle of surf boards at the corner and walk in the direction of the bay, the building is tan and located on your right hand side.

Baja Vikings Ecoventures IS THE BEST! - Our experience with Baja Vikings Ecoventures was nothing short of magical! FIVE STARS all-around.
We were traveling as a family: my husband and I and our four small children (10, 8, 6, 5). Our tour guide was Camilla (Cami) and she was phenomenal. The whale watching was an unbelievable experience. We were able to see them breaching almost completely out of the water only a short distance away from us as well as watch the behaviors between a mother and calf. Cami was extremely knowledgeable about the whales and their behavior and answered all of our questions. She was unbelievable with our kids. The boat had snacks and water, and my kids felt totally comfortable asking Cami when they needed something. We went snorkeling afterwards and even though my boys didn't love it, Cami was calm and patient with them. And the best part was that Cami was taking pictures (at no additional cost) of our adventures, including in the water while we snorkeled, so we could be present and enjoy it without worrying about taking our own pictures. Seriously one of the best excursions I have ever done! FIVE STARS!

Whale watching and snorkeling - We had a great experience with Baja Viking Eco adventures. Our tour guide Pepe was very knowledgable and gave us some fun facts as we searched for whales. We saw so many whales and had a blast snorkeling. Thanks for the awesome tour.

Great trip!! - One of the better activities we did on our trip. It was a blast and the guide was amazing, saw plenty of whales, dolphins and tropical fish. Not a trap like most others. Highly recommend!!

Great tour! - We had a great time on our whale watching and snorkeling tour! We saw lots of different fish, turtles, mom and baby humpback whales, and an awesome breaching humpback to end the trip. Our guides were super knowledgeable and engaging. We highly recommend this company!

Wonderful whale and snorkeling tour. - We had a wonderful experience with Baja Vikings Ecotours. We appreciated the passion that the guide and captain clearly had for their job and for the whales. They were respectful of the animals while still ensuring we had plenty of views of the animals and shared plenty of knowledge with us, encouraging us to ask any questions. We were fortunate to have a huge pod of dolphins swim all around (and under) our boat for quite some time. Our guide took underwater video and photos, though we are still to receive them. The snorkeling was beautiful as well. Highly recommend this tour!

Amazing - What a great trip Razz and Jose were great guides and captains. Whale watching was amazing but the snorkeling really put it over the top!

Best excursion we have ever been on - The whale watching tour was the highlight of our trip. We were fortunate to have Razz and Jose as our guides, both of whom were exceptional. In particular, we were paired with Razz, whose expertise in whale studies greatly enhanced our experience. Razz provided us with a wealth of information about the whales, making the outing not only enjoyable but also highly educational. We were lucky enough to get a video of the two whales breaching only because Razz knew that the time between breaths and the tail orientation was a good indicator that they would breach soon.

Nice guide but uncomfortable boat and cramped - We booked this directly and were excited for the tour. I did let them know that we had two grandmothers with us over 80 years old who wouldn’t snorkel and assumed they would know what kind of seats they would need to be comfortable. On arrival, there were two other families with us and we were led to a small pontoon boat without shade or cover and the grandmothers were pointed to a tiny spot on the pontoon to sit for the next four hours. We were packed together like sardines. My 80 year old mother in law was in agony at the end of the trip from the position she had to sit in. I don’t know who would think this was acceptable seating for elderly people, but it was really uncomfortable.
The snorkeling was 15-20 minutes and we were rushed back on to go search for more whales, so this was more of a 3.5 hour whale watching trip than snorkeling by far. We saw a lot of wildlife and the guide was knowledgeable, but I would not choose this company for older people.
