Delicious & fun - do it on your first night so you know where to go! - I only had one night in Cabo and I'm so glad I found this tour. It was great to walk around the city, try all different types of delicious local specialties, and get a sense of all the places I want to go back to visit when I have more time. Javier was my guide and he was excellent. I'm sure it's enjoyable in a group, but I'm extra grateful that it was such a nice experience for a solo traveler too. And thank you for accommodating my pescetarian/vegetarian food preferences!

We bought local and we loved it! - We are staying in a local resort. Truth be told the food here isn’t all that great. This is our first time in Cabo and finding authentic Mexican food is difficult if you’re not a local. Avocabo Food Tour will solve that problem for you without any problem. The tour is built on the premise that there are lots of good Mexican restaurants in Cabo, but some are special because they are local, have been there forever. I think it’s a privilege to be able to eat that kind of food, especially when every bite of it was far superior to the other expensive restaurants we’ve visited since being here. The places we ate were not chosen because they are fancy or cool. They were chosen because the food is amazing and it’s good to support local businesses. Javier and Silvano were wonderful leaders. Good information, friendly and happy to give us a great experience in their hometown. Let me just give you one example out of the five dining experiences we had. Our Mole dish was prepared by a woman who has been making her recipe for 35 years or more. It was balanced and flavorful, and truly a remarkable taste. She was proud to present it and we were proud to have had the opportunity to eat it. Each stop had a well prepared top of the line flavorful dish for us to eat. Yes, there was some street food and if you have problems with that, you probably shouldn’t go. Let me just say the tamales and the churros that we got from street vendors were the best I’ve ever had. We had a remarkable experience and encourage anyone who cares about the food they put in their body to go on this tour.

Javier and team were... - Javier and team were super knowledgeable, prompt, and friendly. They specifically chose places that were local owned and non touristy. Had a great time and would recommend!

2nd Time Taking the Tour!!!! Will be back again! - Awesome experience, highly recommend!!! It was my 2nd time doing the tour with a different friend, and she loved as much as me!! The food is amazing, good portion sizes as a taste, and the history that Javier provided and just learning about the area and himself made the experience a great one!! Will be back again when new friends come to experience Cabo!

Unremarkable Food Tour - Tour began with ceviche which was pretty tasty in an average eatery. From there we walked to a not so desirable location but my chicken mole was good though my husband’s was quite grizzly. This was our only tequila sampling where we had one shot. The oranges accompanying the shot were delicious. On we went to a franchised taco place, and received one taco. We could choose from pork, beef, chicken, shrimp or vegetarian. I had the pork and it was delicious. I sampled a piece of shrimp and that too was yummy. Our last two stops were food cart street vendors. The fourth stop included a choice of Mexican street corn—which was sold out so that was a bummer, or a tamale from an Igloo cooler. Everyone chose to skip eating at this stop. Our last stop was a churro cart, also sold out, but we were able to wait for these to be made. I had a plain churro and my husband had a caramel churro. These were very fresh and tasty. We had two tour guides who were friendly. I wanted to score this tour higher but it just wasn’t as good as food tours we’ve done elsewhere. Overall it was more disappointing than not.
