I had an amazing time... - I had an amazing time visiting the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles! The exhibits are beautifully curated, and everything feels so immersive — from the massive dinosaur skeletons in the Dinosaur Hall to the sparkling gems and minerals displays. You can really tell how much care and effort goes into preserving and presenting each collection. The museum is way bigger than it looks from the outside, so plan to spend a few hours exploring. Every room feels like stepping into a different world — nature, history, evolution, and even the present-day urban wildlife of LA. It’s educational, fun, and perfect for both kids and adults. The staff were kind and helpful, the place was spotless, and the layout made it easy to move from one area to another without feeling rushed. My favorite part was seeing how they connect science with storytelling — it makes you appreciate just how incredible our planet’s history is. If you love learning or just want a relaxing day surrounded by fascinating exhibits, this place is absolutely worth it. I’d definitely come back again — there’s always something new to discover!

Spider Pavilion visit - My son, granddaughter and I visited the Spider Pavilion and the Dinosaur Exhibit at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. There were so many spiders, their webs and even some tarantulas in plex cases. We were mesmerized by the dinosaur skeletons: so many and dazzlingly huge!

Must see, especially to learn about LA County - I really liked this museum, very thankful that ALL the staff involved in selling something made sure to ask if I was a teacher, military, EBT holder. Its usually awkward to ask for a discount, but its amazing when it's offered. Military/CA Teachers/Law Enforcement/EBT Card have free general admission (movie and special exhibits are still full price) and gift shop is 10% off. I took metro and got off at the EXPO/Vermont (E line/Orange Line station ), it is directly across the entrance where people would enter if they parked in Garage. So made visit way more worth it. I came for the Fierce! Story of Cats, which I think was worth paying for especially if you didn't pay admission. I sort of wish they had a book of the little cartoon cat guide in the exhibit, it would have been nice keepsake. They have quite a bit of diorama exhibits, the particularly their African and North American Halls, some of them were just so cute, like a 3D photo. The hall of birds was also cool and there is a Central American art collection along it. The age of mammals and dinosaur hall were also nice. The Nature Garden, was comparable to some of the botanical gardens in the area. The gem and mineral hall were simple, but so colorful, and really unique, I don't think I have ever seen such an extensive collection of rare stones. There is a Becoming LA exhibit, I learned alot, if your are a native, this is must see. So overall I would come back with friends, it is probably one of the places where membership is worth it and I think it includes other museums.

Tuesday Morning - Less Crowded - We had a fun time at the Natural History Museum. Totally worth a visit. We were a bit shocked by the steep $20 parking fee, but public parking is super limited in the area. Overall, I would visit again, it was nice to get view all the exhibits.

Great activity for solo travelers or families - I used public transportation to go to the museum because parking is quite expensive. The museum was not too crowded and a nice cool temperature on a hot Saturday morning.!

Wau - Magnificant. I would recommend giving a printed map with expositions sites to simplify the search. Booklets with the finest pictures, including minerals may be the additional memory of visiting exposition

Before booking, search of any major events taking place in the area. - I wanted to stress that my review has nothing to do with the museum, I'm sure the museum itself is a wonderful place of education. The day I booked my tickets, there was a game at the stadium next door. I was traveling with an elderly family member. Parking was the issue and will remain the main issue. Additionally, available parking was starting at $40.00 which was 3 to 4 blocks away, if not further. We decided to head to Santa Monica Pier instead. If you're planning a visit, it's best to use public transportation. I was not familiar with the area as it was my first time there. I'll be well prepared for my next visit. It's important to search for any major events taking place in the area to avoid unnecessary stressful situations.
