A Walk Through Time, Nature, and Beauty at LA’s Natural History Museum - It's been such a long time since I had last visited the museum (probably close to 15 years ago) and I forgot how cool it actually is inside. First, the dinosaur exhibit is just incredible! Even if you're not a dinosaur nerd, it’s impossible not to be impressed. The gen stone and mineral hall was also really cool to see. There were so many pieces on display and it's just impressive how all of these were naturally created. The other stand out was the Wolves photography exhibit by Ronan Donovan. There were some spectacular images and you can't help but imagine how he got some of these shots and want to experience the rush and awe of the surroundings captured in his images. The other highlight was the Butterfly Pavilion (extra cost to the general admission). It's not often you get to walk through and see so many different types of butterflies firsthand. It can get a little busy inside so just move around slowly and take it all in. Finally, the "Becoming Los Angeles" exhibit I also found to be really cool! Learning a little more about the city, some of it's history, and diversity which shapes it's existence today. The building itself also has an historic charm and there are so many other exhibits to discover as you walk through. It's actually surprising how much time it takes to really take everything in so definitely set some time aside (at least 4 hours).

Museum was wonderful! Be... - Museum was wonderful! Be prepared to do a lot of walking inside, but all of the exhibitions are worth it. Just a note, due to construction, parking is a distance from the museum.

Reframing dioramas - We went to see the “new” reframing dioramas exhibit! We were quite pleased with the exhibit! We later found out that this new hall was an old hall that was closed for over 30 years. I’m glad it’s open now, because it added many new dioramas to the extensive list they already had on exhibit. What was of particular interest to me was the fact that there were dioramas from Asia, Africa, South America and Australia! We also loved seeing the new “green” dinosaur named Gnatalie! Hoping this new diorama hall will remain open to the public and there’s room in there for a few more dioramas! I’m personally hoping for more Asian animals!

An absolute must-see - I’m a bit of a natural history fanatic, and this is quite literally one of my favorites (especially for paleontology). This is an absolute must-do for anyone with an interest in dinosaurs or fish especially, and offers great insight into local history

Very informative. Lovely display of dinosaurs. - We arrived around 10:30am and there wasn’t much of a crowd. It got busier after lunch which is when we were done. There is an amazing display of dinosaurs, which was the main reason for us going. They have other displays and overall it’s beautiful and educational.

Butterfly Pavilion - My g'daughter & I decided to visit the Butterfly Pavilion at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. Because the weather was cloudy, the butterflies were mainly stationary on the plants (they love sunny days, which cause them to fly about). So, we decided to go to the halls where there are (taxidermied) animal dioramas. My g'daughter decided that, on this visit, the Steller Sea Lions were her favorite display.
