Our 90-minute express tour offers an easy walk to the front of the sign, while our 2.5-hour hike takes you to both the front and back of the sign.
- This tour is available as a 3 hour hike to the front and back of the Hollywood Sign, or an express 90 minute walking tour to the front of the Hollywood Sign - choose at checkout
- Please arrive 15 minutes BEFORE your ticket time to check in with your LA tour guide.
- Closed-toe shoes are required and layers are recommended
- Young children are welcome to join this hike tour; we recommend this tour for guests ages 6 and up. Children participating in the hiking tour should be able to hike on their own. NO STROLLERS! For children under 6, we highly recommend choosing the 90 minute option at checkout.
- NOTE: Meet your guide OUTSIDE by the long white gate where the trailhead begins; they wear a neon yellow Bikes & Hikes vest. Do not bother the people at the houses in this neighborhood.
- Please allow ample time for traffic (welcome to LA!) and for parking. There is free street parking at this location- please follow all signs.
- Guests joining this Hollywood Sign tour should be in good health, and enjoy a walk on this Hollywood Hills tour

- We’ll be walking 4 miles (6.4 km) along what is widely considered to be an easy to moderate hiking trail on the Hollywood Sign Hike

Fantastic hike and wonderful guide - This was one of the best tours I’ve done in LA! Mark was knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure everyone was safe and no one was left behind. Best of all, he kept us entertained the whole way up and down with stories about Hollywood and the sign’s history. I learned a ton!

Great hike with an awesome local expert - Mark was an amazing host, guide, local expert. Highly recommend, four thumbs up (me and my daughter’s:) The views and scenes were exquisite; Mark peppers the history and intrigue (!!) of the sign, Griffith Park, Hollywood throughout the walk. What’s more is he’s a wonderful guy that truly enjoys sharing his hometown with visitors. Thanks Mark!!

Highly recommended especially with MARK - Mark was our guide and he was awesome. Very knowledgeable and personable. Great experience. Would not want to do this the 1st time without a guide as you might think you were trespassing in a couple spots when you were not!

Just book it! - Our tour with Mark this afternoon was nothing short of amazing. His knowledge of the area and its history is unparalleled, and the views were simply incredible. This is an absolute must-do if you are visiting LA. Definitely aim for the longer route if you can - the views from the top of the mountain are worth every step!

An Emergency Cancellation, Flexible Hike Re-Selection, Overall Fantastic Hike! - This hiking experience occurred on May 21st, 2025. First off, I want to emphasize that this hike was cancelled due to an emergency. However, I was given the opportunity to pick another hike to go on, and Bikes and Hikes were incredibly flexible. Outreach in letting me know of the cancellation was greatly appreciated and fast! I ended up going on the shorter Hollywood sign hike just to the front of the sign.
Secondly, I want to give a huge shout out to Michael, who was my hike guide. I was the only one who showed up for the 9am session, and he was an absolute delight to hike with. I learned about the general history of the Hollywood sign, the story of Griffith J. Griffith and the park itself, and we also chatted about life in general. It was very much an enjoyable hike and solo experience. He was more than willing to take a lot of pictures, and I really appreciated that!
I hope that in the future I will have another chance at taking the longer hike, once again I would like to thank Bikes and Hikes LA Tours for their fast communication and wonderful customer service in ensuring that I had a positive hike in the Hollywood Hills regardless of the emergency cancellation!

Hike with views and stories - It was an awesome hike! At first we were a bit afraid of the gloomy weather, but as soon as we arrived to the top, the fog started lifting granting us an amazing view. Our guide’s, Mark’s stories about the sign and about the melodrama surrounding the Griffith Park made the whole experience memorable though. He was really helpful and attentive during the whole hike. We went together with my family and I believe this will be one of the highlights of our trip. I really recommend it to anyone who likes hike and great stories!

tour guide never showed up - The tour guide never showed up. I waited for over 30 minutes, and nobody showed. I called the main customer service line, and they tried to contact him, but with no luck.
