Following this, guests will embark on a guided Gun Tour, delving into the formidable artillery systems of Battleship IOWA and discovering their history, engineering, and real-world significance. Throughout the tour, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of the lives of the sailors who managed these remarkable weapons, ensuring an engaging and unforgettable experience.

Embark on an exclusive behind-the-scenes adventure as a sailor aboard the Battleship IOWA. Begin with the IOWA Experience, a self-guided tour spanning five decks, highlighting the ship’s presidential history, interactive displays, sailor narratives, and an engaging scavenger hunt led by Vicky the Dog.

NOTE: Arrive earlier in the day to complete the self-guided IOWA Experience before joining the crew-led “Big Guns” Tour at 1:30 PM.

Next, delve deeper with a 2.5-hour crew-led tour into seldom-seen areas—parts of the ship that fueled its power during World War II, the Korean War, and the Cold War. Navigate through hatches and passageways as you explore.

Due to the physically demanding nature of this tour and access to confined spaces, it is restricted to guests aged 10 and above and is not recommended for those with mobility challenges. Closed-toe shoes are required.
