An exciting highlight in Longreach - A Stagecoach ride was something I wanted to do ever since reading Mark Twains account of his trip in the 1800's. This one was everything he described. With 12 passengers & pulled by a team of 5 horses we trotted along the main street and then turned onto a dirt bush track where the horses were more comfortable. On the return journey through the bush the horses were allowed to gallop for a distance which was really exciting. The trip was 45 minutes long with great commentary from the driver. I would do this again anytime! Before departing we had morning smoko (without the smokes) of tea or coffee with scones & jam and cream which was very good. The price also included an old- time tent show and then a 1 hour movie 'Smiley' after the ride. We didn't attend those as we were only interested in the Stage coach ride. So we paid $145 each for the ride which we were totally happy with - value for money in my opinion. I recommend to sit either up front with the driver or outside on the back of the coach.

Giddyup Longreach Cobb & Co are on the go!! - Where else can you and your loved one, ride in an authentic Cobb & Co stage coach? Not many places within Australia, I can tell you, but in Longreach Central Queensland! Using genuine stage coaches and driving practices of the day, you get to experience the comfort, or somewhat ruggedness, of the old stage coaches of the past. Highly skilled drivers take eager eyed passengers, through the streets of Longreach, then weather permitting, take you out onto the Common, for some high speed galloping across the plains. History in today's world!!

Exhilarating ! Very enjoyable... - Loved the exhilarating ride of the old Cobb & Co with the horses...our short gallop. The best best scones I ever had with tea , the movie with popcorn, a surprise and the tent show.. worth the money charged. I had the Best birthday. The staff were amazing...😊

Cobb & Co - A fantastic coach ride with the driver sharing a lot of information. I like the tent show and morning tea and I learned a lot about working sheep dogs. The Chips Raffety film was a lot of fun.

A good experience but the stagecoach ride itself was pretty short. It was a 4 hour experience and 3 1/2 hours was other - Our experience started at 9 am and commenced with morning tea with scones with jam and cream. We had just finished breakfast so in hindsight a later tour would have been better. 30 mins getting everyone organised to board the stagecoach and short trip through town and out on a dirt track and we were back and unloaded and done by 10.30 Then an old Chips Rafferty film was shown for at least an hour and then some bush poetry and a 45 minutes show with kelpies and some Aussie humour. Finished st 1pm. All up was enjoyable .
