A Moving Experience: John Burke's Tour in Derry - Of all the tours we took this week, John Burke was the standout. He's passionate and has a deep knowledge of the city's history. His explanation of the events surrounding Bloody Sunday was exceptional. Highly recommended!

Confronting - This tour was a highlight for me and our guide Paul did not disappoint. The tour started like a lot of tours in Ireland do with a lot of talking about the history of Ireland. Then we walked over to the Bogside district and Paul took us through the events of the day on Bloody Sunday, 30 January 1972. He showed us where certain things happened and where people died. Most of the tour guides we encountered in Northern Ireland made sure we knew they were impartial and not favouring the Catholic or Protestant view either way, but Paul did not make that clarification. His sister was shot on Bloody Sunday and survived. He was very matter of fact but there was no doubting where he stood.

A must for anyone visiting Derry - Peter was a knowledgeable and friendly guide, making this particular walking tour a memorable one indeed. Despite the delicate subject matter, his subtle humour was able to cut through the sobering horror of the events being relayed. I would highly recommend this walking tour for anyone visiting Derry.

Amazing Personal Tour with John - Was lucky enough to be the only person who booked the tour slot and got a private tour with John! John was an amazing guide who wants to give people the full picture of Bloody Sunday. I am someone who wants to know every little detail and John provided that. I had a wonderful time and learned so much. John definitely appealed to the inner history nerd in me.

Bogside tour with Jimmy Toye - A must do when in Derry. We had the absolute pleasure of having Jimmy Toye take us on this heart rendering tour of the Bogside talking about the troubles and Bloody Sunday. He made us laugh and also cry telling us from his first hand experience of many years as a teenager living during those terrible times. Was one of the best history lesson ever and a must if you visit Derry. Hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to get Jimmy.
