Amazing experience for Harry Potter fans - It’s a great behind the scenes look at what it takes to make such an amazing set of movies. It is hard to get food (long queues) and it’s not cheap to eat so pack your own lunch if possible! Also - it takes a solid 3+ hours to complete (more if you want time in the massive gift shop at the end!)

Outstanding detail and immersion, but plan for queues and a full day - Positives: The exhibits are extremely detailed, elaborate, and genuinely educational. There are roughly 25 scenes or themes, each featuring original movie props, full sets, and engaging videos. It’s fascinating and highly entertaining—you could easily spend 15–30 minutes at each scene and, in theory, two full days exploring everything thoroughly. Standout highlights for us included the Great Hall, Diagon Alley, Gringotts Bank, and the breathtaking model of Hogwarts Castle. Several experiences are interactive, such as the green-screen broomstick ride. Be aware, however, that there is an additional cost if you want to capture and keep photos or videos from these experiences. Cons: There are multiple queues at the beginning—entry to the studio, collecting audio guides, entering the main exhibits, and then two more short video queues. It took over 30 minutes before we were finally free to wander independently and take photos. The café food was fair but unremarkable, and the Butterbeer was disappointing compared to the Butterbeer at Universal Studios in the U.S. The gift shop was also a bit underwhelming, with limited merchandise branded specifically with London. Recommendation: My older teenage children chose to spend our third day in London here instead of visiting other city attractions, which says a lot. It was very cool and definitely worth it—but it does take up an entire day away from central London. We tried to buy tickets about a month in advance during the holiday period and found it sold out, so we ended up booking a tour that included transportation from the city. The studio is about an hour away, and while the tour made logistics easier, it also meant being constrained by their schedule. Overall, a fantastic experience—just plan well ahead and expect it to be a full-day commitment.

Magic! - I thought it was some kind of theme park, and instead you find set pieces and whole sets from the movies in the saga. The “electronic” guide is not very easy to use, but somehow you can understand the story behind each set design. The tour takes at least 3/4 hours and is definitely worth it. Some sets leave you speechless for the study and realization that requires it, I recommend it to those who deal with creative work.

Enjoyable tour with easy transportation - Harry Potter fans will enjoy this mostly self guided tour with easy roundtrip bus transportation from Russell Square. At over $125, very pricey. Lots of families with kids attending along with international tourists.

Not flexible - First off - no food or drink on the bus. Mkay. Then, tiny, squished seats. As a 175cm person, this was hell of a ride for my knees. To top it off, we came back after the tour to the bus 30 minutes before the departure. It was pouring rain in the cold. We were exhausted and wanted to sit down. The bus driver didn’t even bother opening the door for us, only gestured with his head through the door that we came back too early. We had to walk under the pouring rain BACK TO THE BUILDING ENTRANCE, GO THROUGH SECURITY AGAIN, AND WAIT 30 MORE MINUTES. Get some flexibility in your brain! Would be good for your business. Never again. Ew.
