I had high hopes for this tour from the website however, Pete turned up to the tour and it seemed like he had been drinking earlier in the day. He complained about the face shield and the microphone set-up, and we as a group had to keep reassuring him it was ok. He also did not respect that the 5 of us on the tour would have liked to keep our distance due to the covid rules - he kept encouraging us to get closer together. It also would have been nice if he had started the tour with an introduction of himself (who he was, his background etc), what we were going to do on the tour and what we should expect to see. The tour overall seemed too fast in some places and slow in others, and a bit all over the place in general - starting stories but never getting to the point. He did not respect when we answered his questions or when we asked him questions, he often repeated himself and took a long time to explain one piece of street art and sped past others. He also said we would talk about the cable street riots but we never got to that despite having 15 mins left on the clock - but by that time I was a bit done with the tour and wanted it to end anyway. At the end of the tour he apologised for not being on top form, but I don't think that is really acceptable if he was drunk, especially as he explained that this was his second tour since march so you would think he would be excited to give a good presentation. Ultimately, the whole tour was unprofessional and I was expecting something a bit slicker and more informative - it seems this was a one-off from reading other reviews but I will not be recommending this tour to others.

I went with 2 other friends on the Brick Lane tour with Pete and it was just such a refreshing experience. Very informal and it was lovely to hear Pete's stories and also for him to share his experience as being homeless and his view on the homeless situation today. He also know the Brick Lane area inside out and pointed so many interesting things out to us that we would never have found ourselves. Can only highly recommend this walk and would love to try some of the others by the same company showing other areas of London as well.

I had booked the tour and was given the meeting spot and time. I did not have internet was I was away from the hotel but I did include my phone number. I waited at the allotted meeting point and after about 20 minutes, I returned to my nearby hotel to make sure there was no message. I was given the phone number of the guide but I was having problems trying to ring. Worried that I may have missed the meeting place, I returned again for about 10 minutes. When I returned to the hotel, I tried ringing the company. I also left an email. I was in London for three more days and I was hoping that I could transfer the tour to the next day. I received no response either by email or phone since that date. I was really looking for forward to this tour and was disappointed it wasn't able to be done.
