Beautiful - Very nice cathedral, kind staff and even the gentleman who cashes the tickets found that we were French joked with us in French. Beautiful view from the top of the dome, a little high to climb the meanders of the stone then iron stairs, but it was definitely worth it! Visitable crypt also with the shop and the possibility of dining. We were even able to attend a mass. Only downside, the price, pity for a place of worship.

Just Amazing - This was amazing! You can see all the places upper and lower. You get to climb steps to the top of St. Paul’s WOW! Stunning views of London from there. After you have walked around the Whispering Gallery make sure to go into the crypts! DEFINITELY worth a visit.

Very nice visit to the top of the dome - Beautiful cathedral (on the other hand the stained glass windows are transparent and lack colors) with a beautiful crypt and a visitable dome (to do to have a superb view of London - no need to make one of the skyscrapers) and consider climbing to the top (528 steps from the bottom). No queue for entry at 10am (on a Friday). A very nice visit.

Lots to see I recommend the guided tour to learn as much as possible - I recommend taking the guided tour as the cathedral has much to learn about. Points of interest were the Quire and it's wood carved panels and the crypt with its history. Allow a good couple of hours as the architecture alone kept us in awe. The climb to the very top all 528 steps although tiring to get there offer spectacular views across London and uninterrupted vistas. We had Paul lead our tour a retired legal professional who was knowledgeable and witty. A great orator.

This Cathedral Takes You to New Heights - This breathtaking cathedral was well worth the admission price, especially since we got to tour the cathedral in its entirety. Climbing the steps to the very top of the dome was such a cool feat! The unique view of the London skyline far exceeded our expectations. We spent 2.5 hours here but could have easily spent more time. Well worth the visit!

So much to see - It’s an expensive visit: but there is a great deal to see. I am a Londoner and have attended services and events at St Paul’s - but I saw and learned a huge amount more during my paid visit. There were queues to buy tickets - good idea to buy online ahead of time. The audio guide is a good starting point, to know what you are looking at. The two climbs to the whispering gallery and the cupola are fairly demanding, but people were being sensible - there weren’t unfit bodies blocking the climbs up (which was a problem many years ago when I visited St Peter’s). Stunning views from both vantage points. We couldn’t access all the areas of the crypt because there was a wedding taking place: but we were able to pay our respects to Nelson. Highly recommended.

Beautiful 🤩 - 10/10 - must see in London. The most beautiful cathedral. Audio guide was amazing. Highly recommend going for the first booking of the day as the crowds were manageable.

Stunning paintings in the dome! - I was floored at this stunning site. We did the tour that was offered through the church and it was absolutely marvelous. Having a tour from people that work there and really love the place is a game changer. I especially loved the part of the tour where we were taken up to the Whispering Gallery. Not only were we educated in the architecture, the artwork was absolutely stunning. Sir James Thornhill was commissioned in the mid to late 1710's to complete an entire set of sepia type murals depicting the life of St. Paul. The view from the top is stunning as well. You can see all the iconic places in London. My advice? Take the tour and take the stairs. It's totally worth it.

How many times can they check a ticket? - The Cathedral is a major significant historical landmark and an icon of London. There are a lot of curved, uneven, worn stone stairs if you climb to any floors. Our tickets were checked on entry, at the fire audio headset desk, in the crypt, on exit from the toilet - so many times. I'd be amazed if there's anyone trying to sneak in here without paying, so why so many checks? Once you're inside as either a paying tourist or a church service visitor it seems excessive to keep checking the tickets. Great place to visit and soak up centuries of history and it's a magnificent looking dome/building - just keep your ticket handy for inspection every 10-15 minutes

Great tour to get you started at St. Paul’s - Jo did a very nice job of the free 45 minute tour of the main floor of St. Paul’s Cathedral. She knows her information and is pleasant to listen to, though it was a bit hard to hear her at times. Can’t blame her too much because there are a lot of people there and it is a large and open space. It leaves you enough time (unless you have other plans the two hours following the tour) to explore the crypt, ascend to the “whisper room” or even the 500+ steps to the top of the dome.
