Upon setup Friday evening, we were informed by staff that we needed to move our site across the creek to not impede on the hayride. I drive a minivan, and a loaded trailer full of gear. I bottomed out multiple times, ripped off the lower valance to my front bumper and flattened my muffler driving across the creek and to the site. Firewood @ $5 a bundle was extremely green and would not burn whatsoever. With the rain in the forecast overnight Saturday night into Sunday, I realized that we would get stuck trying to leave, so we packed up after the hayride and left, losing one nights stay because we were told to camp on the other side of the creek. Lastly, upon waiting for the tractor to pick us up for the hayride, an employee approached me and my young children and told my kids "I don't want to hear them scream, no screaming". This is very unprofessional, accosting minors and telling such a ridiculous comment. While we were leaving ( timed in between hayrides to not disrupt) one of the lower lot employees yelled "TURN YOUR HEADLIGHTS OFF!" Driving a new vehicle, headlight override is not possible due to safety features on the vehicle. I've been camping here for years, we travel over an hour and a half to get there and this entire experience was horrible to say the least. I understand there was an event, if I was told after booking that we would be forced to drive thru the creek and over ruts and bad terrain, I would've rescheduled. We're probably not returning to this campground.
