• Adam’s Peak Hike - 21:30 - Participants will be picked up and transported to the Nallathanniya trailhead in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.

01:30 - Upon arrival at the Trailhead, the Nature Guide will provide a brief overview of the route before commencing the hike.

The ascent is undertaken on foot through the lush mountainside, utilizing the steps integrated into the terrain. A packed dinner will be enjoyed during the journey. The majority of the path from the base to the peak consists of thousands of steps made from cement or rough stones, known as “Mahagiridambe,” meaning the great boulder or rock. After approximately another 1 km, participants will reach the summit.

04:45 – Arrival at the top, followed by a rest period with refreshments.

05:30 - Experience the breathtaking sunrise from the top of Adam’s Peak.

07:30 - Descend via the Murray estate route, with breakfast provided along the way.

10:00 - Return to the trailhead and then travel back to Nuwara Eliya.

Peak Wilderness Sanctuary is a tropical rainforest covering 224 square kilometers around Sri Paada (Adam’s Peak) mountain. It is the third largest among the 50 sanctuaries in the country. Your journey will take you through Hatton (Hatton – Nallathanniya) and descend via Murray Estate, which borders the Peak Wilderness Sanctuary. This area is one of the finest hideaways in Sri Lanka, surrounded by evergreen forests at the reserve’s edge. Waking up in the middle of the night to trek is well worth it, as the sunrise is truly spectacular.
