Walking History Tour and Dinner! - Having just a short period of time in Ljubjana, we decided that a walking tour combined with food and wine would be just the right activity for us. We were not disappointed as we learned so much about the history of Slovenia and Ljubjana along with tasting a sampling of local foods and wines in a variety of small neighbor settings. Our guide was delightful, knowledgeable and professional. We had a great time and would highly recommend this!

Had everything, food, wine, history, culture with engaging guide! - Excellent food tour + a way to learn about Slovenian history and culture! I was debating what tours to take and very happy this is the one I decided upon. Our guide Jasmina was engaging and knowledgeable. She was funny, found ways to make the information she shared interactive, made sure the kids on the tour had appropriate meals, and fed us well! I didnt expect to come away from the tour with as much knowledge about Ljubljana, the people, the history, and the culture and art as I did. As I didn’t have much time in the city I think that this was the perfect tour to select!

Book the tour - Jasmina was an awesome guide and showed us that their is more than just meat in the Slovenian cuisine. Also the spots were pretty and we learned a lot about Ljubljanas history.

Top food tour in Ljubljana! - This tour exceeded our expectations. Jasmina was a knowledgeable and personable guide who was open to answering all of our questions. At each stop she gave us detailed explanations of every dish and wine, and also taught us lots about Ljubljana along the way. If you like exploring a country’s cuisine, this is the tour for you!

Strange Food Tour - We have done food tours all over the world and this was one of the worst we have experienced. It was over an hour into the tour when we had our first bite if food. The first stop was in a local restaurant and the food we tried was very good. After that, things went downhill. The next stop was a local fast food fried chicken place and when we arrived the chicken was already sitting out on plates. The chicken was cold. The guide assured us it was the best fried chicken in the world, which it was as not. Our vegetarian daughter was given a few slices of zucchini with a slice of cheese on top. Our guide told us that she was going to a party right after and got some take away chicken to bring with her. We then went to a wine store where we had some meat and cheese which was again sitting out when we arrived. After that we had sausages. We finished at a weird bar at the top of Ljubljana’s tallest building where we had walnut cake. Not sure why we didn’t go to a bakery to try the cake but our guide told us at that stop, “Don’t be surprised if I leave you.” I guess she had to take her chicken to the party. The whole thing lasted about 2.5 hours and we definitely did not feel like the tour was worth the money. We actually went and had dinner after.
