Panoramic Vistas and Well Organized Tour! - The Cinqueterre is worth seeing with a tour guide. Our guide was a local who walked us to the train station to catch the appropriate train. We visited 2 of the 5 villages with our guide. He explained a lot while also providing free time as well. On our return to port, our guide had us take the water ferry which allowed us to view all 5 Cinqueterre villages from the water. Given how busy these villages are and the transportation involved in getting to and from them, having a guide look after us to ensure our on time return to port was worthwhile.

We had great time! - Round Trip Cinqueterre We booked a round trip from Livorno port to Cinqueterre. The driver came to pick us up around 8 a.m. and he dropped us off in Portovenere. According our itinerary we had to go to the train station in La Spezia , but before to leave Livorno, the driver gave us 2 options.. Train station in La spezia, Riomaggiore, the first of the five lands or Portovenere ( the last one is not part of Cinqueterre). We choosed Portovenere and I think , it has been the best choice!! The cost of the ferry boat from Portovenere is a little bit more expensive than from Riomaggiore and of course of the train, but this fish village is worth to visit. We discovered all lands by our own , with all recommendation by the driver, ( not Corniglia, they haven’t the pier) and 4 p.m he came back to pick us up at La spezia train station. We had great time!
