Amazing tour of Istria!!! - This was such an amazing tour. Alan is wonderful and one of a kind. It was private and had such a personal touch, and we got to do and see everything we wanted, while meeting amazing people along the way. We love Istria and want to come back and do another tour with Alan! Highly, highly recommend!!

For the serious foodie - our guide Alen is a force of nature. His passion and knowledge of istrian wine is immense, we were schooled on the ways of malvazia wine, and given the privilege of trying an old teran, and a plavec-teran mix, the only one ever made. the olive oil tasting was with an award winning house ! highly recommened for the serious foodie, who only expects the best. we ended the trip on a sweet note with dessert in a local konoba, in the small village he grew up in. what more does one needs ........

Fantastic day in the country, if you have any thoughts doing this tour book it right away! - We had such a nice day. Our ride from Rovinj to Livade was month and comfortable. We were not expecting to find truffles with Nikola as we new the season was late but we loved the walk, the dogs and learning from someone who was so passionate. The rustic vineyard was fantastic, lunch was amazing. The truffle shop Figanti was authentic with fresh truffles for sale. Also, a valuable life lesson, 2 minute no audio! A lovely, day in the company of someone who loves what they do. Highly recommended

If you really want an authentic experience… - You know how some folks say “I’m worth it?” - well Alan IS worth it. He went above and beyond to give our family an authentic, customized Croatian experience with local wine, olive oil, truffle, and honey makers, capping it off with a truffle hunt in the forest. Alan knows so much about the history, culture and area. There wasn’t a question he couldn’t answer. Absolutely an exceptional guide!

The Best Day!! - The best day!! Started off with truffle hunting, then moved into wine tours, honey tasting, and olive oil tasting. Lots of snacks and drinks and Alan was the absolute best host. Can not recommend enough!! 10/10 experience

A very personal experience! - I travelled solo and during off season, so this ended up being a private tour for me. I enjoyed this tour a lot as my guide, Alan, was very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure all my needs were taken care of throughout the day. The truffle hunting was great fun and the little truffle bites we got to try were fantastic. Wine tasting in a boutique family owned winery was also really nice. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a more personal experience rather than a more commercial touristy one!

Perfect Day in Istria - Highly Recommend !!! - My husband and I had a fantastic day with Alan, who gave us a private tour of Istria. We were staying in Rovinj and wanted to spend a day wine tasting and seeing the countryside. He was the perfect host and guide, speaking excellent English (and at least 5 other languages!) the whole day was just us allowing a flexible experience… we went to a family truffle farm, a small family vineyard, a vineyard with gorgeous views, met a local bee keeper and tasted honey! And went to a medieval town for coffee. What a day! Thank you Alan for showing us an amazing time, being so kind and showing us beautiful Istria.

Enjoyable, but not private - Enjoyed the truffle excursion (a little brief), vineyards, and tour guide’s knowledge/explanations. The only concern was that I believe we paid for a private tour; yet, another couple joined us. As such, we did not actually have a private tour and we spent an additional 35-45 minutes dropping the other couple off and the end of the excursion before we were ultimately dropped off.
