Excellent tour! - Our tour was scheduled very early. FIlipa our tour guide was excellent, knowledgeable and efficient. The tour was scheduled very early so we were at the palace gates shortly before they opened. We were among the first ones to enter the palace grounds and the first ones to tour inside the palace. Thanks to our guide who got fast track tickets. No crowds yet as we toured but as we were leaving the crowd was getting thicker. FIlipa also booked reservations for lunch for the group so we skipped the line at the restaurant. Both sites were gorgeous! Well worth getting up early for.

Wonderful day in sintra - The trip was navigated by Filipa who was knowledgeable, affable and thorough. We got historical background and a very enjoyable visit through the properties.

Lovely guide Filipa. - Our guide Filipa was absolutely wonderful. She had a wealth of knowledge of Pena palace, Sintra and Regaleira. Would highly recommend her and this tour.

Exceptional tour of an amazing place - Great Sintra tour - well-organized, well-paced, exactly as described. We got to Sintra early and didn’t need to wait in lines. There was plenty of time at each stop and we were back in Lisbon by late afternoon. The van was comfortable. All-around, this was one of the better tours we’ve been on. Highly recommend.

A Wonderful Experience - The small group of eight was a perfect size. Andre, our guide, is the owner of Portuguese For a Day Tours and a native of Lisbon. He shared his knowledge of Lisbon and Sintra with the group and answered any questions that we had. Starting the tour early in the day is a good idea to avoid some of the crowds in Sintra. There is a LOT of walking uphill and then downhill on this tour. So be aware. The guide was patient when we needed so slow down or stop and rest during the climb. On the drive back to Lisbon, he shared recommendations for places to eat and shopping in Lisbon. I highly recommend this tour .

You won’t go wrong with... - You won’t go wrong with this tour!! Our tour guide, Filipa Loule of Portuguese For A Day Tours, was phenomenal, such a friendly and knowledgeable person !!! This tour also gets you very close to the entrance so it will save you a lot of uphill walking.

Great Sintra, Pena Palace and Quinta de Regaleira Tour - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the Sintra Tour with Pena Palace and Quinta de Regaleira with Andre. We started the day very early, 7:40am pickup, to beat the crowds and long lines. Andre was very professional and knowledge about Sintra and Portugal in general, and we learned all about the interesting history of the Pena Palace and Quinta de Regaleira. He also reserved a table in Sintra for us at lunch time, and later gave us food and shopping recommendations in Lisbon. Andre provided us with a personal small group experience (we were with only one other couple) which we very much appreciated. We are in our late 60's and had no trouble navigating the many hills in Sintra and keeping up with the group. We highly recommend Andre and Portuguese For a Day Tours!

Awesome day on Sintra - Andre was an excellent and knowledgeable guide with a great tour taking in Pena Palace, The Regelaria, and Sintra. Great recommendation for lunch too. We generally have not done tours but this one definitely changed means we’ll do more! Andre was also a mine of information in general about Portugal, and is well travelled himself, so appreciates the travellers perspective too! Would recommend this tour as it also beat the crowds!

One of those bucket list items, a must see! - Andre was the best choice of guides for this experience. His English was excellent with several years of experience which proved to be a huge advantage for our visit to Sintra. We arrived ahead of the crowds, first in line so that the experience was enjoyable and not shoulder to shoulder with thousands of people who were arriving as we left. Plus we enjoyed that his maximum number in the group was 8 people so it felt more personalized. His favorite restaurant where we all had lunch was family owned and run with intimate and delicious (the fried eggs and fries was his suggestion which was unusual for a lunch item but well worth the choice).
