Lisbon: Sintra, Pena, Regaleira, Cabo Roca Coast & Cascais / Great Tour Guide Ivo - Lisbon: Sintra, Pena, Regaleira, Cabo Roca Coast & Cascais Attended the tour on 27/01 and our tour guide was Ivo. What a great day and tour guide, we visited so many places and really interesting information as went along, Ivo was great and knew all the shortcuts to ovoid queues and the times to attend places. All parts were really good to visit and was the right balance of free time to explore and guided tour and really personal as a small minibus. Would recommend to anyone attending to go on this tour as takes the stress out of transport. Ivo was even happy to share other places to visit in Lisbon which helped. Five star review all down to Ivo the tour guide for being so helpful, funny and giving us so much out of one trip. Darren / Manchester Uk

Good way to see several places in a day - Excellent guide (Alberto), very knowledgeable and friendly. It is a good way of seeing several places in a day if you have limited time in Lisbon. Just a suggestion: It would be useful to provide a more detailed itinerary before the tour i.e. time at each venue what the tickets are not included in museum places etc.

Great day trip from Lisbon - We had a very enjoyable full-day tour to Sintra, Pena Palace, Regaleira, Cabo da Roca and Cascais. A big highlight was our guide Joaquim, who was funny and entertaining while also providing all the information we needed throughout the day, making the tour easy to follow and well organised. Although there are options to book transport only, I strongly recommend choosing the option with palace tickets included. Once you arrive at these locations, there really isn’t much else to do besides visit the palaces, so having tickets pre-arranged makes everything far easier and saves time. For Pena Palace, we also purchased the interior ticket, but it’s not really required. The best views and photo opportunities are outside the palace, so you can safely save your money by skipping the interior unless you have a strong interest in it. Another useful tip: it’s actually easier to walk up from the bus drop-off to Pena Palace. The walk only takes about 5–10 minutes. The shuttle bus costs €5 per person and often involves waiting, so if you don’t have mobility issues, don’t waste your money on the bus. Two young women in the group held the tour up by about 15 minutes waiting for the shuttle bus on the return, even though Joaquim clearly told us the group would only wait 5 minutes. This was annoying when they could have walked down. Also be aware that the lunch stop isn’t until around 3pm, so definitely bring snacks — we were very hungry by the time we finally stopped to eat. Lastly, the beach stop for photos felt unnecessary and could have been skipped in favour of spending more time at other locations. The beach itself was nothing special and you can't swim in it anyway, so no point. Overall, a great tour and an efficient way to see Sintra and the surrounding highlights in one day — especially if you plan ahead with snacks and the right ticket choices.
