It stands on the very spot where the three shepherd children, Lúcia, Jacinta, and Francisco, witnessed the first apparition of Nossa Senhora de Fátima in May 1917. Visitors can also find the tombs of the Pastorinhos in this Basilica.
- Basilica of the Holy Trinity - Opposite Nossa Senhora do Rosário is the new church of the Sanctuary, the Basílica da Santíssima Trindade. Opened on October 12, 2007, it features a modern design, resembling an auditorium, and welcomes people of all faiths and beliefs.
- Chapel of the Apparitions - Constructed in 1919, the Capela das Aparições is situated at the site of the holm oak where Nossa Senhora de Fátima appeared to the Pastorinhos. Adjacent to the chapel is the Sala das Velas, where visitors can purchase and light candles for their prayers.
- High Cross - The current Cruz Alta replaced an older version built in 1951, which was donated to the Santuário Nacional do Cristo Rei in Almada. The new Cross was erected on August 29, 2007, near the statue of John Paul II.
- Francisco and Jacinta’s House - Located 2 km outside the Sanctuary complex, the Casa dos Pastorinhos allows visitors to explore Lúcia’s house and the homes of her cousins, Francisco and Jacinta, free of charge. The route to their houses includes a street called Via Sacra, featuring several chapels that depict the Passion of Christ.
- Hungarian Calvary (Valinhos) - At the end of Via Sacra dos Valinhos, the Capela de Santo Estevão and the Hungarian Calvary showcase beautiful statuary on the terrace above the chapel. Built in 1964 and renovated in 1994, the chapel includes mosaics representing the apparitions at Cova da Iria.
- Museu do Santuario de Fatima - Established in 1955, the Museum of the Santuário de Fátima displays the sacred art of the sanctuary. Visitors can also view items donated by pilgrims, as well as historical, artistic, and ethnographic documents and pilgrimage testimonies.
- Mosteiro Da Batalha - The Monastery of Batalha (Portuguese: Mosteiro da Batalha) is a Dominican convent located in the municipality of Batalha, in the historical Beira Litoral province, in the Centro region of Portugal. Officially known as the Monastery of Saint Mary of the Victory (Portuguese: Mosteiro de Santa Maria da Vitória), it was built to commemorate the 1385 Battle of Aljubarrota and served as the burial church for the 15th-century Aviz dynasty of Portuguese royalty. It is a prime example of Late Flamboyant Gothic architecture in Portugal, blended with the Manueline style. The monastery is a historic and cultural monument, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1983.
- Nazare - Nestled along the stunning Atlantic coastline, Nazaré, Portugal, invites travelers with its captivating allure and fascinating attractions. Beyond its famous surfing scene, Nazaré offers a wealth of experiences that make it a must-visit destination.
- Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazareth - The image of Our Lady of Nazareth is a black virgin, carved in wood, and was brought from Merida to this oceanic promontory in 711 by Friar Romano, a monk from the convent of Cauliniana. He fled the Muslim invaders with D. Rodrigo, the last Visigothic king, after the Christian armies’ defeat at the Battle of Guadalete. It is believed they sought refuge in the nearby Visigothic monastery, from which the St. George Church remains.
- Forte de São Miguel Arcanjo - Nazaré, Portugal, plays a significant role in the world of big wave surfing. The notorious Nazaré Canyon causes massive Atlantic swells to gather in the depths, eventually channeling their energy towards Praia do Norte (North Beach). With towering cliffs forming a natural amphitheater for spectators and a bright red lighthouse atop the Fort of São Miguel Arcanjo providing perspective on the colossal waves, Nazaré is a dream for both spectators and photographers. Images of its largest waves have captivated both surfers and non-surfers alike.
- Obidos Village - The charming Medieval village of Óbidos, surrounded by walls, will enchant you with its timeless beauty. Until 1883, Óbidos was the exclusive property of the Queens of Portugal. As a UNESCO Creative City, Óbidos is a haven for book lovers worldwide, adorned with bougainvilleas, winding streets, and colorful houses.
