- Alfama - As Lisbon’s oldest and most enchanting neighborhood, Alfama is considered the historic heart of the city. Its steep, cobblestone streets remain as they were in medieval times. Known for its fado houses and the vibrant June festivities honoring “Santo António” (St. Anthony), it draws thousands to its streets. Alfama survived the devastating earthquake of 1755, preserving its authentic character. This charming area retains a Moorish ambiance with its narrow alleys, staircases, and laundry hanging from windows.
- Chiado - Chiado & Rua Garrett’s Vibe: Chiado is the place for shopping and relaxation. Rua Garrett offers everything from delightful cafes to trendy shops and even the world’s oldest bookshop.
- Bairro Alto - With its lively nightlife and artistic murals, Bairro Alto contrasts with the historical Largo Camões, where Lisbon’s bohemian spirit thrives.
- Largo do Carmo - Largo do Carmo offers a peaceful retreat, perfect for a break and a glimpse into history without the crowds. The ruins and quiet corners echo stories of past revolutions and the relentless passage of time.
