Miguel at Lisbon Photo is Great! - I had a half-day morning tour with Miguel that I liked so much, I did another night tour later in the week. Miguel is a wonderful guide, instructor, and photographer. He showed me places I would not have found on my own and explained the history, culture, and people of the location. I found him very knowledgeable about Lisbon, photography, and several other topics we discussed as we walked through Lisbon. He is very knowledgeable about camera settings, lighting, composition, and the story the photograph should tell. Not only did he help me get some wonderful photographs from the sessions, I also came away with new knowledge to help improve my photography.
Not only can I recommend him, I will also take another photo tour with him when I'm back in Lisbon.

Beautiful photos with Lisbon photo. - This was the second time that I walked with Miguel through the streets of Lisbon. It was a totally new experience in that it was in a different area. Miguel knows the city inside and out and knows where the most photogenic spots are.

Great way to spend your day! - Spending your day with Miquel at Lisbon photo is great whether you are really into photography or just an IPhone photographer. Miquel has a vast knowledge of photography and the local culture and he delivers it to you in a very informative and entertaining way. He also knows some great “local” restaurants.

A Truly Unforgettable Experience with Miguel at Lisbon Photo - My wife Mary and I spent two half days with Miguel from Lisbon Photo, and it was simply amazing — without a doubt one of the highlights of our 7-week European tour.
I had done the same experience with Miguel seven years ago, so I already knew how good it would be. But this time, it exceeded all expectations. Miguel has a wonderful way of making photography come alive — not just through technical tips, but through his deep love and knowledge of Lisbon. It’s so much more than a photography workshop; it’s like a private guided tour of the city, filled with hidden corners, beautiful light, and fascinating local insights.
What made this time extra special was watching my wife’s transformation. She had no real interest in photography before, but under Miguel’s patient, friendly, and encouraging guidance, she’s now completely hooked — and taking fantastic photos!
Miguel is a brilliant teacher and a genuinely kind person. He takes time to understand each participant’s skill level and goals, and he tailors the experience perfectly. His easygoing nature and passion for both Lisbon and photography make every moment enjoyable.

Photography, touring and friendship rolled into one! - I had a great time with Miguel learning about street photography in Lisbon. Miguel is very knowledgeable about photography and Lisbon. We went down alleys and through areas I would never have known about had it not been for Miguel. I wish I had time to do Porto too, but will add to my list for next time. Miguel, thank you!

Completely new view of Lisbon - We have been to Lisbon many times, the day tour with Miguel gave us a completely different view of the city. The day was exhausting but very worth it. We got a lot of tips.

Miguel is the Real Deal! - Honestly, this tour exceeded all expectations. It was engaging, surprising, pacy and yet still and even a bit reverent. Miguel clearly loves his city and his insights and depth of local history layered on a pretty intense photography class. We actually learned techniques and ways to observe and to distill singular elements from a scene, leaving with fantastic photos. Bonus: three teens, one joining at the tail end and two adults with wildly different personalities snd every one of us was engaged and energetic throughout.

Miguel was a treat! - Had a great time with a very nice photographer, Miguel. Knowledgeable about Lisbon and photography. We wandered some of the more off the beaten path locales. Traded photography tips with one another. Had a great time! Highly recommend this tour with him.

Phototogtaphy 101 while sightseeing - Miguel was very knowledgable about the history, the town and told many tales about the history of Lisbon while teaching you the basics of photography and making sure that the knowledge is retained while taking wonderful photos.
He was professional during the tour.

Amazing morning in the Alfama - We booked a morning tour with Miguel. We've been to Lisbon three times, and have taken a tour with Miguel on each visit. We met at Rossio, and within 5 minutes we were snaking through tiny, picturesque walkways. Miguel just loves showing people his city, and how to photograph it. Regardless of your level of interest in photography, Miguel's energy gets everyone exciting about snapping photos. I do photography as a hobby, so it was fun to see Miguel get my friend using a smartphone, excited about snapping pics. It was a wonderful tour. I can't imagine visiting Lisbon without taking a tour with Miguel.
