History of Portugal at the Monastery - Rui was a fantastic guide! There wasn’t a question that he didn’t know the answer to! So much history was shared and so much of it involved or was represented at the Monastery - a great start to our visit to Lisbon and Portugal. And he was very attentive to potential missteps on the uneven pavement and street crossings. Extremely knowledgeable not only in the history of Portugal and Lisbon of the past, but also current events. Highly recommended.

This was a must for anyone visiting Lisbon, money well invested. - We did this tour in February 2026. I visited Jeronimos Monastery 50 years ago and just walked around. This time I took this tour and it was so worth it. This is a very small group tour. Our guide Rui was a walking encyclopedia. He gave us so much information on the Belem tower and the Jeronimos Monastery but also on the history of Portugal and their adventures of exploring the world. I could have read 100 books and still not have learned as much. I found Rui to be very professional, i really loved the fact he didn't have to make jokes to fill in the gaps. Thank you

Make your visit to Belém worth so much more! - We had an excellent tour with Rui! He started the tour with a skip-the-line to Pasteis de Belém, which really are worth the hype. He then took us through the Jerónimos Church and Monastery. He provided a wealth of information about all the sites. We learned about the former colonies of Portugal and the Age of the Discoveries as well. His love of history really shines through. My partner is also a tour guide in his former-Spanish-colony home country, and the two of them together were able to compare and contrast their historical and cultural knowledge, as well as their experiences as guides. His tour completely made our day in the Belém district worth so much more than had we just explored on our own. Obrigada, Rui!

Spectacular view best impossible there can climb to know the tower we appreciate the famous pastels of Bethlehem that can not fal - Beautiful experience there to go with your friends and appreciate this wonderful river and disappear a bit from the routine I will return there

Fantastic Experience - Thank You Rui! - We had an absolutely fantastic time with the guided tour of Belem and the Jeronimos monastery. Rui, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and made the whole experience a delight. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Belem and learn about the history as you do so.

Excellent Outing - Although the tour was on one of the coldest and wettest day my sisters and I had a lot of fun. Our guide Andriy was so knowledgeable and very sweet indeed. Not only that the support customer service was very prompt in replying to my queries.

Excellent deep dive into Belém—with an outstanding guide - This tour covers the Belém district extremely well and is a great way to understand its history and significance. One tip for future travelers: I wish I had planned extra time before the tour to visit MAAT and possibly the Coach Museum, since they’re right there and worth it.
Our guide, Andriy Voyevoda, was absolutely phenomenal. His knowledge of Portuguese, Lisbon, and broader European history was exceptional, and what really stood out was how unpretentious, gracious, and engaging he was. Several of us commented afterward on just how impressive he was.
There were a few moments with challenging “customers,” and Andriy handled them with remarkable diplomacy and professionalism—calm, respectful, and effective.
I would happily take any tour led by him. And by association, the company clearly does an excellent job training their guides. Strongly recommended.

Andriy was our tour guide... - Andriy was our tour guide for the Jeronimos monastery and he made the tour very informative & enjoyable due to his deep knowledge of Portuguese history & his storytelling ability. He was also very passionate & wanted to make sure that we were keeping up with him. I will highly recommend Andriy as a tour guide.

Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower & More - Our tour with Andre through the Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower was one of the best we’ve experienced. Having visited many monasteries before, this one easily ranks in our top three — not only for its beauty and history, but also because of the way Andre brought it to life.
He has a gift for storytelling. Starting from the very foundation, he built the narrative piece by piece, adding fascinating and unusual details that kept us engaged the entire time. It felt less like a lecture and more like a journey, with each layer of history unfolding naturally.
Andre also made sure we experienced more of Lisbon’s treasures, including a stop at the oldest bakery in the city — a delicious and authentic treat — and a visit to the impressive Maritime Monument, which added even more depth to the day.
His knowledge, passion, and thoughtful pacing made the experience unforgettable. We walked away not only impressed by the monastery and tower themselves, but also with a deeper appreciation for the stories and culture behind them.
If you want a guide who can transform incredible landmarks into living history while weaving in local gems, Andre is the perfect choice.
