• Marble Cave - Gadime Cave - The entrance fee is 2 Euros per person, and 1 Euro for children. An English-speaking local guide is available. If it gets crowded, the guide will assist. Currently, there are ongoing works. The cave is abundant with stalactites and stalagmites. Known as Gadime Cave, this karstic limestone cave is located in the village of Gadime e Ulët, near the municipality of Lipjan in Kosovo. Much of the cave remains unexplored. It was discovered in 1966 by a villager named Ahmet Asllani while working in his garden. Gadime Cave is situated within marble limestones from the Mesozoic era. Over time, tectonic shifts and erosion have caused the marble to crack. The cave’s total length is 1,260 meters, and it covers an area of 56.25 hectares.

• Gracanica Monastery - The next stop is one of the most beautiful Orthodox churches in the Balkans. The Monastery of Gracanica is a stunning example of Serbian medieval architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The custodian is very knowledgeable, providing factual stories about the architecture, history, and fresco paintings of the Monastery. There is no entry fee.

• Pristina - The next destination is Pristina, the capital and largest city of Kosovo. It serves as the administrative center of the municipality and district of the same name. A walking tour through the city is provided, stopping at several notable spots:

  • City Centre, where you will see state institutions, the main square, National Theatre, and Mother Theresa Street.
  • The National Library, built in the early 1980s with a brilliant architectural style, housing thousands of books and documents.
  • The Newborn monument, dedicated to Kosovo’s independence, changes colors every year and stands in front of the Palace of Youth and Sports.
  • Mother Theresa Cathedral, a Roman Catholic cathedral in Pristina, Kosovo.
  • Bill Clinton’s Statue, erected in gratitude for his support of Kosovo.

• Prizren - The next stop is the city of Prizren. Prizren is the second most populous city in Kosovo, located on the banks of the Bistrica River, between the foothills of the Sharr Mountains in southern Kosovo. Prizren has an oceanic climate influenced by the surrounding mountains. It is the historical capital of the country. While walking through the paved streets, we will visit:

  • The League of Prizren Memorial, an Albanian political organization founded on June 10, 1878, in the old town of Prizren in the Kosovo Vilayet of the Ottoman Empire.
  • Sinan Pasha’s Mosque, built in 1615 by Sofi Sinan Pasha, bey of Budim. The mosque overlooks the main street of Prizren and is a dominant feature in the town’s skyline.
  • Prizren Fortress, which overlooks the Prizren River that flows through Prizren, developed around the fortress.

• Kukes - Kukës is a city in the Republic of Albania. It is the capital of the surrounding municipality and county of Kukës, one of 12 constituent counties of the republic. The city spans 8.2 square kilometers and had a total population of 16,719 people as of 2011.

• Pec - The journey begins at the Patriarchate of Peć. Upon entering this UNESCO World Heritage site, visitors are immediately struck by the tranquil atmosphere and ancient architecture. Focus on the main church complex, which comprises several interconnected medieval churches. Inside, marvel at the incredible frescoes that adorn almost every surface. These vibrant murals, some dating back to the 13th century, depict biblical scenes, saints, and historical figures with remarkable detail and intensity. Notice the distinct Byzantine influences and the sheer volume of artwork. Take a few moments to absorb the spiritual significance of this historic seat of the Serbian Orthodox Church. An ancient mulberry tree in the courtyard stands as a silent witness to centuries of history.

A short drive will then bring you to the majestic Visoki Dečani Monastery, another essential UNESCO World Heritage site.

Participants will learn about the Accursed Mountains, Rugova Canyon, Springs of the White Drini River, Sleeping Beauty Cave, Peja Brewery, and Old Bazaar. These are just a few of the attractions that can be explored if time permits.

• In Etno Restaurant Gracanica, a variety of specialties are available, including pork. The bread served is just taken from the stove.
• In Pristina, traditional and westernized lunches are available in local restaurants. You can have lunch at Burger King or Bulls. Vegetarian meals are on the menu of more restaurants.
• In Kukes, if going there, lunch is at the Kulla e Lumes, a restaurant by the Fierza Lake. The fish from the lake, lamb, beef, and the flia, a traditional pastry, are served. The green vegetables are perfect. Wine and beer are local, but they serve those from the neighboring region.
• In Kukes, if you choose to enter the Underground Bunkers, it will cost 15 Euros per person.
• Kukes is a small city; the drive through, followed by the details and description, is more than enough to make you happy for visiting one more country in a single day. Perfect viewpoints, fascinating landscape, and the photos are a bonus.
• You need to carry your passports or ID cards to cross the border of Kosovo and Albania when going to Kukes. Check the visa requirements for entering these countries.
• A fridge is available in the car, when needed. Max 2 bottles (1/2l) you can keep in it.
