- The Kelpies & The Helix - These stunning sculptures are the largest of their kind globally. They symbolize the guardians of Scottish waterways (mythology and folklore) and Clydesdale horses (industry), which played a significant role in the whisky industry’s mechanics.
- Stirling Castle - Witness the breathtaking site at the heart of Scotland. Many have fought and perished for this historic location. Controlling Stirling Castle meant controlling Scotland. Robert the Bruce successfully besieged this magnificent medieval fortress and destroyed it, declaring that the English would never use it again.
- The National Wallace Monument - Sir William Wallace has no grave, but this monument honors his courageous stand against bullies and oppressors. He remains one of Scotland’s most important historical figures.
- Doune Castle - After Stirling Castle was destroyed following Bannockburn in 1314, Doune Castle became the seat of Scottish rule. In later years, it featured in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Outlander, Game of Thrones, and The Outlaw King.
- Deanston Distillery & Visitor Centre - 10:30 AM - Situated on the picturesque banks of the River Teith, Deanston is not your typical whisky distillery. This tour offers an opportunity to explore the Distillery, learn about its heritage, and discover the craft, care, and processes involved in creating this uniquely waxy single malt whisky.
Each tour concludes with a tasting of two or three drams from the core range of Deanston whiskies in the dedicated tasting area.
- Crieff - Enjoy a lunch break in the charming town of Crieff. There is a wide selection of lunch options, including cafes, restaurants, and pubs. Guidance is available.
- The Glenturret Distillery - Taste some drams of whisky from Scotland’s oldest working distillery. This also offers a luxurious retail experience featuring Lalique glassware and jewelry.
- Lindores Abbey Distillery - Discover the grounds of Lindores Abbey, the spiritual home of Scottish whisky. It was here in 1494 that Friar John Cor distilled the spirit ordered by James IV. From an ancient still to one of Scotland’s most modern distilleries, enjoy some drams from this extraordinary location.
- South Queensferry - The final stop on the whisky adventure. Admire three bridges spanning the Scottish seas. The oldest, the Forth Rail Bridge, played a crucial role in elevating the Speyside whisky region to prominence.
