- Medieval City - Begin the tour with a drive around the walls of the Old Town of Rhodes, the largest inhabited medieval town in Europe. Constructed in the 1300s by the Knights of the Order of St. John, the Medieval Town of Rhodes is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If desired, the tour can be extended by an hour to allow for personal exploration of the Old Town.
- Mandraki Harbour - Located in the modern part of the town, Mandraki port features impressive monumental buildings constructed by the Italians. It is believed that the entrance to the harbor was once graced by the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We will pause here for photographs.
- The Church of the Annunciation - The Church of the Annunciation in Rhodes is the largest Orthodox church in the town, adorned with exquisite handmade wall paintings and stunning chandeliers.
- The Acropolis of Rhodes - Upon reaching Monthe Smith Hill, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city and coastline, and visit the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the remarkable open-air ancient Stadium, and the Amphitheatre.
- Savvas Ceramics - Upon request, a stop can be made at a pottery factory to witness the creation of beautiful traditional ceramics.
- Village of Lindos - Just before arriving at the charming traditional village of Lindos, the driver will stop for a fantastic panoramic view of the village and its Acropolis. You will then be dropped off at the main entrance of the village, with at least 1.5 hours to explore and visit the renowned Acropolis. The driver will meet you at the same location.
- Acropolis of Lindos - The Acropolis in Lindos is the second most famous Acropolis in Greece, following the Parthenon in Athens. Perched on a steep rock 116 meters high, it overlooks the Blue Sea and the village of Lindos. The Acropolis is dominated by the grand temple of Athena Lindia, dating back to the 4th century and reaching its final form around 300 BC.
- Agios Pavlos Beach - A visit to the picturesque St. Paul’s Bay is included. It is said that St. Paul landed here in 51 AD to spread Christianity to the Rhodians. A small church named after him stands here. We will stop for photos to capture this stunning view.
- Fish-Taverna Tsambikos in Kavourakia - Enjoy a lunch break at a spectacular seaside tavern, combining a delightful meal with some beach time. Our local drivers can recommend the best places to visit!

Private tour - Good private tour! However not much to see in the island!

A nice way to see Rhodes - I always say that on cruise stops, it is much better to take a private (or small group) tour rather than one of the large coach tours offered by the cruise line. A private tour offers flexibility as well as a chance to talk to your guide, ask questions and get to know them a bit. And you will never be stuck on a bus waiting for those last two stragglers to finally show up. Don't worry about missing your "all-aboard" time. Your guide is a professional and will know that his reputation depends on getting you back to your ship on time.
Our tour with Nicholas (or Nikos) from Rhodes Greece Tours is a good example. He met us at the port with a very comfortable van. Our first stop was at Mandraki Port, the ancient port that was once the site of the Colossus of Rhodes. Next up were St. Stephens Hill, Acropolis of Rhodes with its ancient stadium, followed by a drive to Lindos. Since Nikos was in a van, not a coach, he was able to drop us right there in town. Another advantage of a private tour is getting into places where a bus cannot fit. After this, he gave us a choice of places for lunch.
As Nikos told us, he is a driver, not a guide, so he could not accompany us into the archaeological sites. But even still, to call him "only a driver" does him a disservice. He is a native-born and proud Rhodian, and he is very knowledgeable. He told us all about these places while we were on the road. But even still, as Nikos himself said, sometimes it also is nice simply to back and enjoy the scenery without a guide continuously droning on and on.
If you are looking for a good tour of Rhodes from someone who truly knows and loves the island, then Nikos (Nicholas) from Rhodes Greece Tours is your man.

Wonderful island tour - We had a great time on this tour. Our guide picked us up at our hotel and took us first to Rhodes, giving us a brief history of the sites. We drove to many different spots on the island, including a potter's studio but the best was Lindos.

Perfect day in Rhodes - This way was a great way to experience Rhodes. Our guide George was extremely insightful to the history of the island and the people. We were able to get away from the tourists and saw the heart of Rhodes. We were able to stop in several small, family businesses. With it being a private tour, it was very intimate and geared towards our requests. Without having a large bus, we were able to get at the base of the Lindos, without the long walk from the bus parking. And the lunch recommendation was amazing and become our favorite meals of our trip. We loved learning about the history, in a relaxed, setting as we saw the island. George was great, took pictures for us, spoke English very well, and a great driver. Highly recommend!!!

Great trip around the island - Favorite part was that we got to see all over the island. Lindos was beautiful, and restaurant on beach was amazing (near port). Nikos was the perfect guide, and paid attention to every detail. In afternoon, we could see smoke from the wildfires, but did not affect our tour

Amazing way to see Rhodes! - Amazing! Nikos was our driver. He met us at the port in a clearly marked vehicle which was clean and very comfortable (and air conditioned!). This tour was the best day of our Greece trip! He took us to places that we never would have found on our own. We saw the main sights briefly and then told him we wanted to see his favorite things on the island so that's what we did. We added on the 2 hours for beach time and it was so worth it. The tour was worth every penny!!
