At Kiambethu Tea Farm, visitors gain insight into the tea-making process and have the opportunity to see tea in the field. Accompanied by the resident Kenyan guide, guests can take a short walk into the small indigenous forest to learn about the plants and their traditional uses, and observe the Colobus monkeys and birds residing in the gardens.
Your visit includes a leisurely lunch. Most of the produce is locally sourced, and when making reservations, inform them of any dietary requirements! Lunch is a three-course affair with complimentary beverages - wine, beers, sherry, soft drinks, and of course, teas and coffee! Kiambethu’s lunch is a delightful meal featuring homemade butter, rolls, and soup, followed by salad, maize (white corn) and cheese, potatoes, green beans, carrots, Swiss steak, and finished with fruit and homemade ice cream. The vegetarian options served are fantastic. You will then be returned to your Nairobi hotel or residence.
