Into the Heart of the Rainforest

The Veragua Rainforest Zipline Tour was calling my name, and I couldn’t resist the allure of soaring through the lush canopy of Costa Rica’s Caribbean side. We boarded a covered motor launch at the Mar Azul wharf, ready to embark on an ecological cruise through this stunning waterway. The canals are a labyrinth of natural and man-made channels, teeming with wildlife and offering a glimpse into the heart of the rainforest.

Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate, pointing out the various creatures that call this place home. We spotted sloths lazily hanging from branches, monkeys chattering in the treetops, and even a caiman lurking in the water. The highlight for me was seeing a snake slithering through the underbrush, a reminder of the untamed beauty of this place.
