Fabulous Experience - This was a wonderful tour! We easily met the guide and driver at the port and headed for Bribri, which took about 75 minutes. Our guide Anna was very engaging and knowledgeable about her country’s history, culture, resources, plants and animals, etc. Johnny was an excellent driver. At Bribri we learned how they traditionally used native plants and trees, and participated with the family in making hot chocolate- starting with cacao beans. Delicious! They sell handcrafted items and there are restrooms on site. Then we moved on to Cahuita National Park where amongst the many trees and vegetation we saw sloths, monkeys, a snake, birds etc. Anna has a wealth of information about all flora and fauna. The beach is lovely! And there are restrooms. Our last stop was at a store for delicious fruit and coffee samples. They had souvenirs and bathrooms as well. We arrived back at our ship with time to spare.

BEST DAY with the BEST guide Ana - Absolutely amazing day with Ana and Roberto. My husband and I booked this last minute and we felt very fortunate to have this driver and wonderful tour guide. We roasted cacao beans, made chocolate, saw medicinal plants, walked through the rainforests to the beach, saw monkeys, and sloths. Ana’s knowledge was well beyond her young years and she made our trip! Roberto was a fabulous driver, and pointed out a few extras along the way like the banana plantation and some monkeys - we had a fabulous lunch on the beach and ended our day back at the port completely in love with the area. BOOK THIS TOUR!

Local cultural experience - Great way to spend limited time in port. Rainforest on the beach with local animal sightings. Indigenous peoples village with cocoa roasting, stone pounding with grinding into a paste. Delicious with banana or as a drink with ginger and nutmeg. No sugar needed! Outstanding guide and driver with a comfortable van.

Great trip to Cahuita National park - We had a wonderful driver and tour guide for our day trip. Mario, our driver, had to deal with heavy traffic and delays all the way from San José to Limón on Highway 10 due to a construction road closure on Highway 32. This added many hours of additional drive time, which he handled patiently and professionally. Three cheers for Mario!! Rosa, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and an expert at spotting birds, sloths and poison frogs. She provided us with accurate and timely information about the places we visited and areas we drove through. Thanks to both Mario and Rosa for a fantastic experience.

Superb Tour-Guide!! - Katherine was an incredible tour guide; she was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, patient, caring, and so attentive throughout our tour. We were a group of ten, ranging in age from 4 to 89, yet she gave us her undivided attention and went above & beyond to ensure that each one of us, had the best experience possible! There’s no question that this particular tour in itself, was/is very good, but there’s not one of us who would disagree that Katherine, had a lot to do with making it a phenomenal experience for us! She answered our questions, she explained when we looked confused, she translated when we needed it… and as a result, we’re all convinced that our experience would not have been so epic & memorable, if not for Katherine, as our tour- guide!

Great Experience! Book! - Fiorella and YiYi were great! Super kind and accommodating. Very friendly and honest hardworking people. Would book another tour with them and recommend you do as well! So sweet 🥰 The chocolate tour was very interesting got to see how they make chocolate by hand as well as some animals in their area. Catato, the owner of the chocolate tour, was hilarious because he kept playing little pranks on us throughout the tour. Really nice people. Cahuita National Park, was nice and scenic. Didn’t get to see toooo many animals. But did see a sloth and a baby snake. It was windy that day and lots of people were there so I think the animals were hiding. All in all, great tour and our guides were the best. Besides, our tour guides, I appreciated that it was a more intimate tour with it just being the 3 of us and Fio and YiYi. So it was more personalized a definite advantage.

Not to be missed! - We had a wonderful day with our guide Juan, who drove us from Puerto Limon down to see the indigenous Bri Bri people in southern Costa Rica. He took us to one of their settlements where we were shown many local plants and how they were used for food, medicine, and clothing. The highlight of this part of the tour was making chocolate. We watched and helped! our Bri Bri hosts roast the cacao pods over an open flame, crushing the hot pods with rocks using a primitive mortar and pestle and then grinding the small chunks into pure cacao chocolate which we enjoyed mixed with roasted banana. Yum! This part of the tour was more than enough to make a fun day, but this was only the first part. We then started to head to Cahuita National Park, but not before stopping to hike down to a nice waterfall and enjoy the cool water (bring a swim suit!) en route to Cahuita. We hiked along the trails at Cahuita National Park and enjoyed the beach and scenery before beginning our trek back to Puerto Limon. However, the day wasn't over yet as we stopped for a nice lunch with our guide Juan in Cahuita, enjoying a traditional lunch with beverages before heading back to Puerto Limon. Juan could not have been a better guide, teaching us new words in both Spanish and the native Bri Bri language, pointing out wildlife and other things we might have missed, and all around ensuring that we had the best day possible. We highly recommend the tour and can't say enough about our guide for the day, Juan. Thank you!
