- Cahuita National Park - SNORKELING: This excursion is conducted on a boat that can accommodate up to 15 participants, including a certified guide and captain. It takes you around Cahuita National Park, where you will snorkel for about two hours in Costa Rica’s most significant coral reef. Here, you can observe up to 35 coral species, 123 tropical fish species, 3 shark species, 6 types of moray eels, 3 varieties of sea urchins, 140 mollusk species, 44 crustacean types, 128 algae varieties, as well as sea turtles, sea cucumbers, sea sponges, lobsters, shrimp, and more. Full snorkeling gear is provided, including a mask, snorkel, fins, and safety equipment.
- Cahuita National Park - HIKE: Following the snorkeling adventure, enjoy a refreshing snack featuring a selection of seasonal tropical fruits.
Next, embark on the second part of the journey: a guided nature walk along a 2 km trail from Punta Cahuita to Cahuita town. During the walk, your naturalist guide will assist you in spotting a diverse array of wildlife such as sloths, white-faced and howler monkeys, raccoons, anteaters, armadillos, and various snake species like boas and eyelash vipers.
You will also see vibrant butterflies, including the renowned blue morpho, tropical birds, land and sea mollusks, and learn about native plants such as medicinal species, orchids, bromeliads, ferns, and other rainforest flora.
