Great experience! - I had an amazing experience surfing! Jorge was my instructor and was super helpful and supportive. After every wave he told us how to improve, checked in on how tired we were, and was generally very kind. After a few waves I was able to stand on the board! I went as a solo traveler and had a few questions beforehand, they answered promptly. I would highly recommend using this group for your lesson! I’ve already recommended it to several people.

Great experience!!! - Very good and attentive teachers! After learning the basic movements on the ground and putting on the clothes, we went to the water. There, after each wave, they gave us “individual feedback” about what to improve in the next wave. A great experience! I recommend!

Absolute must do!! Oscar is the best ! - This was excellent! I wasn’t sure what to expect and only booked it the same morning, but figured I’m here I have to try! I was so lucky to get paired with instructor Oscar. He was clear, through and inspiring! After getting in the gear (even if it’s not too chilly out you’ll want the wetsuit on, and don’t forget zipper goes to the back!!) you’ll get directions on land which are CRITICAL so when you do get on the water you can focus more on balance than where your feet are. It was a truly wonderful experience and I’m so glad to have booked it!

Wonderful experience! - Had such a wonderful time learning with Pukana School, I actually enjoyed it so much I took a lesson every morning for every day I was in Lima. Al instructors were wonderful!

Only my third time... - Only my third time surfing, but this was a blast. Great waves and great instructors. Also great value for how much time spent in the water

Awesome surfing instruction - Jorge was very supportive and checked in on us many times throughout the lesson. He also made sure we recieved enough rest throughout the lesson since it’s a lot of physical activity.

Cheapest and best option to learn how to surf - WOW!!! Such an awesome experience. I can not remember the guide's name, but he was absolutely incredible! Not only did my girlfriend and I actually ride some waves, but the guide was able to teach us while the ocean was actually pretty powerful. He took us to a calmer and safer area and we rode A TON of waves. I am fairly athletic, and my girlfriend used to skateboard when she was younger. Genuinely, the coaching and conversation with the guide was so encouraging!! Funny side note, the beach area has like 50 tents to teach surfing, and they are all trying to rope you in and feels sketchy, but this company is just casually set up and not trying to poach people in. They do provide wet suits and water shoes, but I would recommend your own wet shoes. Also, they do not take any photos or videos while you are out there, but the experience of learning to surf in Lima is a story stronger then a photo!
