Hungry Foodie - Aura is a fantastic guide! Friendly and informative. When it says it's a food tour, I didn't expect to have so much food in 4 hours. All the places and restaurants we went were lovely and beautiful in Barranco. If you are a foodie without much allergies, this is A MUST experience in Lima. Thank you Aura ❤️

Flavours of Lima withDavid - Don’t think twice to book this absolutely fantastic gastro tour in the Barranca district of Lima. David - our local guide - was absolutely excellent. Not only was he highly knowledgeable and passionate about Peruvian food and culture but also introduced us to little hidden gems of bars and restaurants we would have otherwise easily missed . The tour started in an organic shop where David introduced us with a variety of Peruvian fruit, vegetables and chocolates. We then tasted medium roasted coffee accompanied by an empanada de ‘aji de gallina’. The tour went on with a cooking demonstration and tasting of Lomo saltado and Antichucho, which are beef hearts marinated with Panca chilli. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and I wouldn’t have tried the beef hearts without David. After that we tasted ceviche and Causa (mashed potato mixed with lime, salt and yellow pepper) and of course, there can’t be a tour without tasting the national cocktail Pisco sour and a gelato with local flavours. Overall, the choice of places, the mix of tasting and cooking demonstrations and most of all our phenomenal guide David made all the difference and the start of our holiday in Peru couldn’t have been any better. Muchísimas gracias David!

Wonderful experience. Perfect mix of different foods, drinks and the fabulous Barranco area. - What a great tour. Very well organised and the lovely Manuel was so interesting to chat to and gave us so much information. He was very engaging and knowledgeable. We very much enjoyed his company and thoroughly recommend him . The tour itself is just the right mixture of many of the different tastes, foods and drinks. It gave us such an insight into how food is prepared and was very tasty. Walking around the Barranco area was also interesting and the architecture is really beautiful. Definitely would recommend the tour.
