• Plaza San Martin - The tour begins at this historic city-center location, honoring one of Peru’s most celebrated liberators, Jose de San Martin.
• Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas - Known in English as the St. Francis Monastery, this church and convent were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991. The tour includes an exterior view of the convent and a chance to enter the church to appreciate its surroundings. A complete tour of the Convent and Catacombs is not included in this highlights itinerary.
• Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor) - Spend a few moments in Lima’s vibrant heart. The Plaza de Armas hosts the Presidential Palace, Arch Bishop’s Palace, Cathedral, and Municipal buildings, often bustling with people and entertainment.
• Huaca Pucllana - A quick stop to view Lima’s renowned solid pyramid, a ceremonial site for the Lima culture from 200 to 700 AD. The site is observed from the outside, without a full tour.
• El Parque del Amor - This artistic park on the Miraflores sea-side cliffs offers views of paragliders overhead and couples enjoying the romantic paths. It’s an ideal spot for a memorable photo with a loved one!
• Morro Solar - At approximately 251 meters above sea level, enjoy stunning views of the Pacific Coastline, Chorrillos Bay, and the Shanty towns below. Often missed on other tours, this can be a highlight of ours!
• Barranco - Famous for its bohemian culture and festivities, the streets are lively with local vendors, musicians, and performers. Guests particularly enjoy the vibrant graffiti art throughout the area.

For those with limited time, this tour, affectionately named “The Perfect Snapshot of Lima” by past participants, offers a comprehensive experience. Explore the contrasts between colonial Lima and the modern areas of San Isidro and Miraflores. Enjoy wandering through the artistic seaside neighborhood of Barranco. From a vantage point high above the Pacific Ocean, admire the famous “Green Coast,” which showcases both modern urban life and basic shanty towns. It’s astonishing how much can be seen in just five hours. If you’re interested in a quick lunch featuring traditional Peruvian sandwiches and exotic juices, simply inform your guide. This could be the perfect addition to your half-day or layover tour! (Please note, tours starting from the Port of Callao or Airport will last 6 hours.)
