This morning, guests will be picked up from their hotel and taken to the wholesale fruit market, which features the finest treasures from the coast, highlands, and jungle. Enjoy delicious and refreshing fruit juices before being transferred to Lima’s Historic Downtown, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors will explore the Main Square, the Presidential Palace, and other significant buildings still in use. The tour includes a visit to the Lima Cathedral, Peru’s main church, constructed between 1542 and 1622. Guests will also visit the Cordano Tavern to taste the renowned pan con jamón del país (Peruvian ham sandwich), followed by a trip to the Aliaga House, an ancient viceregal building given by Francisco Pizarro to one of his captains, Jerónimo de Aliaga, when he founded the city. The construction of this house began in 1535. Guests will then be transferred to a local restaurant to enjoy a variety of Peruvian dishes at their own expense. Finally, return to the hotel.
