Be amazed by the collection of gold artifacts, textiles, and erotic pottery that reveal the ancient Peruvian worldview. The museum’s warehouse will be open for visitors to admire the artistic expressions in pottery.

Cathedral of Lima - Visit the Cathedral of Lima, where the crypt of the conquistador Francisco Pizarro is located.

Basilica y Monasterio de Santo Domingo - Discover the Convent of Santo Domingo, a colonial architectural gem where time seems to stand still. This site houses the remains of revered saints Santa Rosa de Lima, San Martín de Porres, and San Juan Masías. Inside, find a grand library with books printed in the 15th century. The first university in America, San Marcos, was established here.

Nasca Lines, UNESCO Heritage

Nasca Lines - Travel by bus to Paracas Bay, then transfer to Pisco airport for a flight over the mysterious Nasca lines. These enormous drawings, visible only from the air, depict various insects and animals like the monkey, hummingbird, condor, and spider. They are believed to be an astronomical calendar created by ancient desert inhabitants. Return to Ica, transfer to the hotel, and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Paracas National Reserve

Paracas - Embark on a morning marine excursion by motorboat to the Ballestas Islands. En route, view the “Candelabro,” a drawing etched on a sand hill facing the Pampa de Nasca. On the islands, observe Humboldt penguins, seals, and migratory birds. In the afternoon, travel by bus back to Lima, with arrival and hotel transfer.

Arequipa, the White City

Arequipa - Transfer to the airport for a flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, explore the “White City,” starting in the charming colonial neighborhood of San Lázaro, where Arequipa was founded. Stroll through its colorful streets adorned with geraniums, then proceed to the Carmen Alto viewpoint for a stunning view of agricultural terraces and the three volcanoes: Misti, Chachani, and Picchu-Picchu. Continue to the colonial district of Yanahuara and its viewpoint. Visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, a remarkable religious monument closed for nearly 400 years, with narrow streets, squares, and gardens reminiscent of old Seville or Granada neighborhoods. Next, head to the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, and the Church of Jesus Company, established by the Jesuits in the 17th century.

The Volcanoes Route, Pampa Cañahuas, and Chivay

Colca Canyon - Embark on an adventure by land to the spectacular Colca Valley. Follow the volcanoes route, ascending alongside the Chachani volcano, with a magnificent view of the Misti and Picchu volcanoes. The journey crosses the vicuña reserve of Pampa Cañahuas, a high Andean habitat where vicuñas are protected. The highest point of the route reaches 4,900 meters above sea level at the Patapampa pass, offering a view of the active Sabancaya volcano. Descend to the Colca Valley, arrive and check in at the hotel. Enjoy lunch at the hotel and free time to relax or enjoy a thermal bath in the area.

Colca Canyon, Observation Point of the Cruz del Cóndor, and Route to Puno

Colca Canyon - At dawn, head to the Cruz del Cóndor observation point to witness the majestic flight of condors, the iconic Andean birds. The view reveals the vastness of the canyon, one of the world’s deepest. Visit the towns of Maca and Yanque, which still preserve their colonial churches. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, depart by bus for a six-and-a-half-hour journey to Puno. Upon arrival, receive assistance and transfer to the hotel.

The Titicaca Sacred Lake and its Islands

Taquile Island - In the morning, board a motorboat to visit the Uros, a community that sought refuge in Lake Titicaca to escape various conquering cultures. This community continues to build their islands using ancient techniques and welcomes visitors to share their knowledge. The people earn a living from tourism. Continue sailing to Taquile Island, where the community has preserved its traditions, clothing, and way of life. It is one of the few Quechua communities in a predominantly Aymara region, remaining untouched by modernity. They will welcome visitors with music and dances. Enjoy lunch at a community restaurant, offering a simple yet nutritious meal. Afterwards, take a walk to appreciate the beautiful view of Lake Titicaca. Return to the port of Puno and transfer to the hotel.

Route of the Altiplano

La Raya Pass - Travel by tour bus to Cusco, with the first stop at the Lithic Museum of Pucara, which preserves local cultural artifacts, including monoliths, stelas, and animal-shaped sculptures. Pucara is also known for its “toritos de Pucará” (Pucara little bulls), colorful handicrafts symbolizing protection, happiness, and fertility. The next stop is at La Raya, the highest point at 4,335 meters above sea level, marking the geographic division between the Titicaca lake basin and the Vilcanota river basin, which flows into the Amazon. Enjoy lunch, then continue to Racchi, home to the temple of the god Wiracocha, with impressive stone columns and walls. The final stop is at the beautiful church of San Pedro Apóstol de Andahuaylillas, known as the “Sistine Chapel of America” for its ceiling and wall paintings. Arrive in Cusco and transfer to the hotel.

Sacsayhuaman - In the morning, escape the crowds to visit Sacsayhuaman, an impressive citadel with colossal structures set in a stunning landscape. Continue to the Inca sanctuary of Q’enqo, featuring a remarkable sacrificial altar within its rocky formation. Finally, visit the Puca Pucará lookout and Tambomachay, a monument of architectural excellence considered a pillar of Andean cosmology.

Sacred Valley: Moray Terraces, Maras Salt Mines, and Ollantaytambo Living Inca Village

Moray - Discover the wonders of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the Inca Terraces of Moray, an agricultural lab designed to recreate 20 different microclimates to ensure the empire’s agricultural production.

Salinas de Maras - Continue to the Village of Maras to tour the famous ancient salt mines, still in use since ancient times. The contrast between the white wells and the clayey land creates a picturesque landscape perfect for photography. Enjoy lunch.

Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo - In the afternoon, explore the streets, plazas, and terraces of Ollantaytambo, the last living Inca village. Visit the archaeological site overlooking the village to see the Inca stonework techniques in the unfinished Sun temple. At the appropriate time, board a train from the village station to reach the town of Machu Picchu, located at the mountain’s base. Overnight stay in the area.

Machu Picchu, the Lost City

Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - The long-awaited day to visit one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Board the train at Ollantaytambo station. Upon arrival at Machu Picchu station, receive assistance from staff to board the bus ascending a winding road with a spectacular view of the Urubamba River, forming a deep canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, welcomes visitors with its incredible terraces, staircases, ceremonial sites, and urban areas. The entire site exudes energy. Enjoy lunch. At the coordinated time, return by train and transfer to the hotel in Cusco.
