LIÈGE, a declaration of love ( according to us and Bart Jungmann, journalist ) - Liège has been a fascinating city for us for years. Contrasts enough. Beautiful and ugly at the same time, history and modern times united. A magnificent tram runs 12 km along the Meuse and through the city centre, city with many old churches and the imposing palace of the Prince-Bishops. We were already for the umpteenth time with our old camper on a square in the center, Outremeuse; never encountered any trouble. Recently read the book "Liège, a declaration of love" by Bart Jungmann, indispensable for us to discover the unknown. Liège has atmosphere, is secretive and always draws you back to that city with that unmistakable French slant. And good weather helps, of course, if you can plan it that way!

Fun activity - We enjoyed doing this scavenger hunt. The assignment is worthy of 'who is the mole?' Cozy to do together. Glad you can choose to continue at another time. The first day we had done the assignment until 8 and the next day no. 9 and 10.

Good but not great - AI voice gets annoying eventually, generally a lot of AI script. But still entertaining for small thalers. Puzzles weren't really hard for adults now, but they weren't all trivial either. Good but not very good.

A good way to see a lot of sites - This is a walking guided tour that takes you to 10 interesting locations in Liège. At each one, there is a puzzle that you can solve by looking closely at the building or reading a nearby plaque. I definitely needed the hints in order to solve the puzzles, but with the hints, I was able to solve them all. Luckily, if you cannot solve a puzzle, you can still move forward using the skip button. The coolest thing I saw on my tour was not one of the 10 buildings. It was mentioned in between two of the buildings., and I had to backtrack to get there. I would put the 378 step staircase on the tour officially, so people stop there at least and read about it. They can choose to go up the steps or not. The second reason for this being a four instead of a five is that it did not end at the beginning site, as it said it was going to. When it ended, I was so turned around, that I actually walked the wrong way for a bit and was a little bit lost in the city. I found my way home, but it would have been nice for it to make the complete loop. I liked that I could stop and come back to the tour. My husband and I did part of it the evening we arrived, and then he had meetings the next day, and I was able to complete it on my own. One of my favorite pieces was walking through the shopping mall to get to Saint Lambert’s place. I definitely missed that turn at first and was confused about where to go, but the three-story mall was a good discovery that I ended up going back to later!

Fun and secretly an educational route - It was a nice route and passes beautiful sights. The route takes you along the stairs, you have to look carefully through the alleys, but it's a pity that this has not yet been added.

Nice way to discover Liege - Nice way to discover Liege; the riddles were a nice addition to the walk. You can ask plenty of tips if you don't know the answer or even skip them if you're stuck. Count on walking for about 2 hours (without extra stops to go for a drink, for example) if you take the time to actually read all the info per location (in the app). The walk does not start at the same point as it ends. Parking in "Interparking Liège - Parking Saint Georges" can be useful, which is located near the end point and ensures that you do not have to walk all the way back after the walk if you would park at the starting point. It was a pity that the station as the eye-catcher of Liège was not included in the walk, we thought it was a bit of a missed opportunity.

A bit too expensive for this tour 🙁 - The stations were interesting. The questions were too easy and a bit boring. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't quite right.

Fun discovery trip - It did not end at the starting point as stated in the description. Too bad the stairs are not included afterwards too tired to go there. Furthermore, fun puzzles to solve and a brisk walk in the meantime.
