Soak in the lush green fields of Valldal, the home of the tastiest strawberries. Traverse the bridge at Gudbrandsjuvet, a picturesque gorge where the purest water cascades down 20-25 meters…
Prepare yourself for a day full of awe-inspiring and breathtaking landscapes. Starting from Ålesund by bus, you’ll soon be on your way along the splendid Storfjord. Soak in the lush green fields of Valldal, the home of the tastiest strawberries. Traverse the bridge at Gudbrandsjuvet, a picturesque gorge where the purest water cascades down 20-25 meters into a crag. Explore the thrilling Troll Road (Trollstigen) and marvel at the stunning view of the Istradal valley from the zenith. To round off your day, you’ll pay a visit to the towering and monumental Troll Wall (Trollveggen).
- May be operated by a multi-lingual guide in English due to mixed groups
- At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking “ship name”
- This excursion without lunch lasts 6.5 hours, while the version with lunch lasts 7.5 hours. If your ship is in port for at least 8 hours, you can join the tour without lunch and return in time for your ship’s departure. For ships in port for 9 hours or more, you may choose either the lunch-included or lunch-excluded tour. We routinely begin this excursion 30 minutes after a ship arrives in port.
- Trollstigen is closed for the 2024 season. The risk of falling rocks poses too great a danger to keep the road open until adequate safety measures are implemented. Trollstigen plateau is still accessible. Due to the route change, we will not be able to visit Trollveggen on this tour.
- Service animals are not allowed by default as other customers may have allergies, in case a service animal is needed please contact us
- All vehicles support foldable wheelchairs
- All terrain are wheelchair accessible

The meeting point is within walking distance from the port/pier and most of the hotels. Look for our staff on the pier, yellow jackets, carrying our company logo. Be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Please note that "gate" means "street" in Norwegian.

Great excursion - Super tour, with fantastic sceneries. Giulia was the best guide ever, super knowledgeable, fluent in several languages and extremely friendly and kind. Grazie Giulia per un giorno infimenticabile!

Amazing day seeing sights... - Amazing day seeing sights I wouldn't have seen staying closer to the port. They got us back on plenty of time before final boarding

WORTH THE PRICE - It was more than just doing the troll road. There were a few stops on the way. And it went by really quick. Couldnt believe we were gone for 7 hrs.

Claudia, the guide, was... - Claudia, the guide, was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Alex, the driver, drove extremely safely on the switch back troll roads.
Alesund was a day to remember forever more.

Spectacular views - My favorite tour of my cruise. The views were spectacular – mountains, waterfalls, fjords, ravines and lakes. Some walking to view points but not much at all. Lunch was included – a buffet with salmon, pork, boiled potatoes and dessert. Very tasty. The guide Lulu was very informative and entertaining. The driver Alex did amazing on the troll road especially with the less experienced drivers! Highly recommend.

We have had 5 stops for... - We have had 5 stops for the 6.5 hours tour. Alex is a very safe driver and Lulu is a wonderful tour guide. We ran into her the next day and she was just as friendly and nice. I would recommend this tour...

Cruise excursion while in port - We chose this on our cruise as our stop. We had a great time. I was well aware we would be on a large bus with a lot of people. Our bus driver was very skilled in navigating the zig zag road. It was a rainy day but we had a nice time.

Beautiful scenery - The tour company had someone at the port with a sign to escort us to the bus, which was located at the port.
Our tour guide, Joseph, gave many interesting facts and was always willing to take our picture at the stops. However, he said um, um continually and it became very distracting.
It’s a long day on a bus however, the scenery is gorgeous with multiple stops. There was adequate time at each stop to take in the amazing views and get pictures. It was about 2-2 1/2 hours before we had a bathroom break. There was a bathroom on the bus but only for emergencies. Lunch was provided with the tour we chose but be aware it’s a late lunch, around 3:30.
