Ascend the stairs to the top of the lighthouse in Alnes on Godøy or take a leisurely walk on the beach. A visit to the picturesque open-air Sunnmøre Museum will provide insights into life in this region a few centuries ago. Step into the boathouses for another intriguing exhibition. From the museum, proceed to Skateflukaia viewpoint to admire the breathtaking view over the city, followed by a tour through the heart of this magnificent art nouveau city.
- Due to new regulations from the city for Mount Aksla, there is an influx of new visitors to Alnes lighthouse. On some occasions our visit to Alnes may change from an inside visit to an outside or panorama visit.
- Tours conducted in April or October may be guided in English only, due to limited guide availability during the shoulder season.
- At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking “ship name”
- Service animals are not allowed by default as other customers may have allergies, in case a service animal is needed please contact us
- May be operated by a multi-lingual guide in English due to mixed groups
- Some terrain may include uneven surface for wheelchair access
- Contact us before booking if wheelchair ramp is needed!
- Bring child/infant seats with you
- All vehicles support foldable wheelchairs

The meeting point is within walking distance from the port/pier and most of the hotels. Look for our staff on the pier, yellow jackets, carrying our company logo. Be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Please note that "gate" means "street" in Norwegian.

Excellent tour of Alesund - This is a morning bus tour with thrre main stops. Pickup was at the pier where our shop was docked. Danny was an excellent guide. We got to see part of the old city as well as the islands.

Super!!! - We had chosen the tour in Italian but unfortunately being the only Italians it was not possible in our language... but the guide was an Italian girl Giulia, fantastic who during the various stops explained everything... the tour was really nice!
We are really satisfied and recommend it!

Great company to choose for a group tour or for a family outing - We arranged a private tour for a group of 27 people and all went smoothyl from beginning to end. Great sites and knowledgable guide made for a good day.

A good drive around Alesund and to the coast - Really enjoyed the outdoor museum, with its turf houses and Viking boat. The scenery at the lighthouse was beautiful. Our guide was knowledgeable and gave lots of information. All in all, a good way to see a few places in Alesund and the area.

A lovely tour, but difficult for those with mobility challenges. - Our guide, Gabriel, was so helpful, friendly and knowlegable, and our driver Billy was highly skilled on narrow roads. Thank you both! The first visit was the museum with historic buildings. Be prepared for a steep climb up to many of the exhibits. I stayed at the bottom and there were still things to see. The paths are mostly gravel, so be aware if you have mobility issues. The lighthouse area is beautiful and pastoral. My son climbed up the lighthouse stairs for some ocean views. We had a lovely light lunch in the cafe there. They also have a small gift shop with beautiful (expensive) handmade souvenirs. Alnes is a quaint little town. I thought our final stop would be up to the Fjellestua viewpoint--maybe I misunderstood? Instead we briefly stopped in town for those who wanted to make the climb up there. The rest of us went back to the ship with a brief tour of Alesund as we went. With mobility issues I missed some of the experiences, but overall, it was a lovely day.

Group too large - Too many people on this tour. Couldn’t hear the guide as couldn’t get close enough. Envied those I saw on other tours who had quiet boxes. Feel we missed out on important information about locations we visited. Enjoyed the locations we visited but don’t feel we were culturally enriched.

Drop-off tour without much depth - The "ultimate turen" was well-organised and clearly designed to accommodate a broad audience, but the experience felt largely like a standard "drop-off" tour without much depth. The guide was fluent in both English and German and delivered the information with enthusiasm, but the content came across as rather superficial and tailored to very general crowd. For us personally, the tour did not quite live up to expectations, and we didn't feel it was with the price.

The tour signed great but we were in Norway with no local to give the tour but instead the guide spoke Spanish - The tour was a Spanish speaking tour as well as English. We had no idea and the guide spent more time talking in Spanish and said everything twice. We left at the first stop and just chose to walk around ourselves and not take this tour. We wasted over 600.00 and should have chosen to do something else. Unless you need a Spanish speaking guide don’t choose this for your day in Norway.
